I'm leaning towards no, since there isn't a maybe option. but then again I wasn't listening in on the phone call, maybe it's true. Anyone have any skill in wiretapping? If so we can settle these kind of threads quickly.
 
dru, part of the problem is this kind of thing is inflammatory with only ones word for proof. There is a such thing as a smell test and well when something smells like rotten fish...

I have had similar offers to a website of mine although not a forum, but as new as this place is.
It too was from a reputable well known company, maybe these companies are playing the online real estate game and buying everything that could be huge

I've read a lot on here and I read Jon's blog and I don't see much reason to disbelieve this (except maybe the 150k from the blog, but that's different) but the sheer insanity of the offer pushes me to the no side... And in the somewhat possible event that this is true, this is an awful sign, the last time idiots started buying up web shit that wasn't worth anything for exorbitant sums the whole industry crashed.
