I have finally reached 1k post mark and as WF has a trend to post what we have learned so I will share what I have learned in the past 2-3 years on this forum. First a lil bit about my background, I have joined this "make money online" world in early 2008 (yeah I was late but since then this is my full time occupation).
I did all those short of tiny tasks (freelance stuff) like most of you guys did at beginning of your IM carrier. In the beginning haven't had much success and made couple of hundred a month on freelancer sites. I have not had much success till I found how to manage workers (virtual assistants and in-house employees). I have quickly learned that I can't make enough money if I kept working alone and I have started hiring virtual assistants and in-house employees (I can get cheap employees here in India). So long story short I have hired couple of teams in India, Pakistan, BD and other countries and started outsourcing all short of jobs (data entry, SEO and design related) which I was getting from my clients.
So basically I have used resources and taught new guys and helped them to make money and in return I have made moderate money (I won't say I made Millions like many of you made with Affiliate Marketing). 1-2 Year later I had stack of money and I wanted to invest (yeah haven't had courage to invest back in IM) somewhere. Real estate is the biggest emerging market in India and I have quickly made decision to invest in real estate. Bought 1 land in my town worth 30K (current market value 60K after 2 years) then after a year in mid 2011 bought an apartment house in Delhi (Gurgaon) worth 100K (current market value 130K) and this year in August 2012 again bought one more apartment house in Gurgaon worth 140K. Now my next investment would be a office space in cyber city (Gurgaon). Let me tell you Gurgaon is one of the biggest destination for IT companies here in India. Currently I'm 280 miles away from this shiny town but soon will be there.
While I was investing in RE here in India I came to know about this great IM forum. Yup in my eyes I would like to rank this forum as #1 IM forum in the entire industry including paid forums as well. I have learned about real industry here and found how Ryan Eagle and many other guys made millions. Due to lack of all short of IM related conferences here in India I know I missed networking with fellas (else I would have much success) but anyways I'm soon gonna attend Affiliate Summit. I'm still in learning phase (specially Affiliate Marketing) and I know I might be slow but I'm loving it whatever I do and here in India peoples admire me. A big thanks to Jon and all the mods to moderate such a wonderful community.
Few things I want to share:-
- No one is going to help you. You have to take your own steps.
- No paid forums can teach you how to make money unless you get your ass to work really hard.
- Don't waste your hard earned money in luxury things rather than re-invest in long term things.
- There are lots of trolls here on wf save yourself being distracted.
- It is your life and you have to make your own decision so DO NOT expect from others and make your own decisions and enjoy the success.
- Believe in Karma help needy peoples and god will help you.
Sorry guys I don't own luxury cars to show off but I hope someone might find this useful and can get encouraged.
