Could you tell me why you regret it because I was thinking of getting the droid myself.
i know it says "rumor" right in the link, but i bet we see 2.1 on g1 by summer, even if it's cyanogen that brings it.
I can't fucking wait till my iPhone contract is up so I can trade the POS in for a real phone.

Jailbreaking your iphone is fairly harmless, I've done it 4 or 5 times so far and no issues. I use bluetooth alot in the car and Jailbreaking is the only way to switch on/off bluetooth in one click.I haven't done the jailbreaking shit cause I don't want to end up with a disabled phone. Fact is I shouldn't have to "jailbreak" something I own. I seriously hate AT&T and Apple and the two of them combined equal a serious bad experience.

I don't really see myself venturing away from Android any time soon but Symbian^4 is supposed to be open source and kickass so you never know.
I don't use my phone much, but it would be nice to have the option to look something up real quick online or text someone if I need to.
I'm in the market for new phones for me and the wife, and the Android phones look great, but it seems like they all have expensive, mandatory data plans on top of the regular phone plan, and we just don't use the phone enough to warrant spending $80 for each phone per month for the minutes we use just to use the GPS and text a few times a month.
After the desk thread I thought for sure you'de have busted out with something like this:
