First off, some thank you's.

Thanks Jon for being blunt and straight to the fucking point on IM. You're the goddamn man.

Thanks to MyOwnDemon for some straight up PPC advice, you're also the man.

Thanks to a couple other WF members who I've got on IM but forgotten your WF user names. My bad.

Anyway, so a few years ago I lost a shitload of money on PPC because I sucked at it, so I moved on to other types of marketing. Now I have a bit more disposable income so I decide that it's time to try my hand at PPC again.

Following the advice of the people above as well as some general WF searching I pick a campaign that I know is converting well, and set up a basic LP for QS reasons, and throw $200 into adwords. I then do some keyword digging and long-tail generating.

So, 48 hours and $200 later I'm at $1,900 in affiliate comissions. Some of you larger pubs will look at that figure and laugh, but for me that's great bloody profit right there. ZING!

To conclude:
  • Read WickedFire enough to know your shit.
  • DO what you say you are going to do.
  • Try and FAIL, but keep on trying.
  • RESEARCH your damn keywords.
This may come off as bragging, but seeing as how last time I tried PPC it cost me nearly $5,000 because of a stupid oversight, that's gold right there. A bit more tweaking and I'll give it a larger test budget.

Nah man, I'm not an inspiration. I'm only doing what's been told and retold on this forum a million times. Also, I just bought some landing pages from MyOwnDemon so we'll see if I can repeat this again next week with two different campaigns ;)
 
Do you use a single landing page?

If so, doesn't Google slap you for that?

@MyOwnDemon - Those are some nice looking landing pages on your website. In a few months I may need you to do a couple of landing pages for me.

I second the "Make Friends" advice. (but don't be a douche about it and go spamming everyone hoping someone will talk to you***you know who you are*** ;) )

I love reading success stories like this, keeps me going knowing that success is out there waiting for me somewhere.
