25" 1080P Widescreen LCD Monitor - $169.99

It's a piece of shit. Don't buy it. I-inc has to be the absolute WORST company in existence. Feel free to post here again crying that you've got 27 dead pixels in a week or so and that the company won't do shit for you. If I were you, I'd return it right now. Go get an LG 23" for the same price and save yourself the heartache. I own 5 of those LG's and they're great. I personally know about a dozen people that bought those I-inc monitors and they've crapped out in less than a week. If you go read the reviews on Newegg or another place that has people that actually know about computers, you'll see how shitty they are. I don't think Newegg even sells I-inc products anymore thanks to so many returns and unhappy customers.

Also, stick away from the Acer 24" monitors. They've had a horrible track record with their 24" model. Their 22" model was pretty good. I own 4 of them. But I bought the 24" Acer and it died in 2 weeks. I talked with a few friends of mine and two of them also bought the 24" Acer and had problems.

If you want a decent monitor, go with a 24" Samsung SyncMaster. They're about $280, but the quality is well worth it.

I've got 2 of those 24 inch acers and no problems either. Maybe you and your friends should stop doing unnatural things to your monitors :)

Well we all got our Acer's from the same Costco so maybe that was the problem. Maybe they dropped the shipping container they were in or something. But I also read some bad reviews about them online, so I still stand with my original conclusion that they didn't have a very good track record.

As for the 28" I-inc, a few people had no problems with the monitor. But the number of people with no problems was so few compared to the number of people that had them arrive with dead pixels out of the box that I didn't want to try it. Here's a link to the horrible reviews of the 28" (27.5" viewable) Hanns-g monitor:

Costco - HannsG 28" Wide Monitor True 1080P with HDMI 3ms 800:1 400 cd/m2

Note that Hanns-g and I-inc are the same company.

Admittedly I owned a 19" Hanns-g monitor for over a year with no problems. But the general track record with these cheap ass monitors is really low so I typically stay away from them. Besides, you just can't beat the crystal clear quality if a Samsung SyncMaster.

I got the 22 inch models and they are solid. I have left them on 24 hours a day for a few years so far and never had a dead pixel or any problems.

Same here. I use the crap out of my 22" Acer's. I just had terrible problems with the 24" model.

What is an I-Inc? Looks like a no name piece of junk. Looks flimsy. Doesn't raise, lower, swivel or rotate. No DVI input. 800:1 native contrast ratio. Look at those control buttons, plastic tabs. Built in speakers... seriously?

It's cheap for a reason.

Spend the extra few bucks and buy something that says Samsung or LG on it. You're going to be staring at it for many hours every day so it should be the best it can be.

Mine swivels, tilts, has HDMI + DVI.

:::shrugs:::

EDIT: You're right tho, mine doesn't raise/lower either

A little off topic, but can anyone recommend some good wall mounting brackets?

I have a dual monitor stand right now, and the base of the stand takes up a helluva lot of desk space.

I have 2 19" Acers that I want to wall mount and clear up some desk space.

I had a 24" HannsG for a while that had 4 dead pixels within a year, but it wasn't too big a deal.

I ended up selling it for almost what I paid for it on Craigslist and getting two 24" Samsung monitors instead.

I bought a 24" Acer and it died on the 2nd day I had it. I expected it was a fluke so I bought another cause at the time I didn't have a lot of choice if I wanted one that day and that 2nd one I bought has worked perfectly for over a year.

Guess it's a crap shoot.

I can't STAND dead pixels! If I get even one dead pixel, I have to sell the monitor. Fortunately good monitors like Samsung's never get dead pixels unless you drop 'em or something. Good monitors are only a little bit more. Why buy a piece of shit just to save $10? This will last you 10+ years and it's under $200. You'd be an idiot not to buy something like this:

[ame=http://www.amazon.com/LG-W2343T-PF-23-Inch-Widescreen-Monitor/dp/B00227S7EU/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1280261262&sr=8-5]Amazon.com: LG W2343T-PF 23-Inch Class Widescreen LCD Monitor (Gloss Black): Electronics[/ame]

You can actually find them for as low as $160 with free shipping if you look around.

You really know that Samsung makes quality products. The monitor I bought came with a 3 YEAR WARRANTY! You could even purchase a 5 year warranty for an extra $8. From now on I'll never buy anything else. But something like an LG is good too. Just stick away from cheapo ass monitors and you'll be fine.
