2pac acoustic

I believe the term to be used for Tupac is overhyped, not overrated.

It is unfortunate that his legacy is tainted by all of the people that name drop in order to make it seem like they understand hip hop. He is overhyped by any and everyone.

But to say he is the most over-rated rapper of all time is Ludicras. <-There is an example of overrated right there.

This

Tupac = Wack
Kanye West = Wack
50 Cent = Wack
Kid Cudi = Wack
Lupe Fiasco = Wack
Lil Wayne = Wack
Drake = Wack
Eminem = Wack

Anyone that disagrees with me obviously hasn't heard enough Hip Hop to comprehend.

Oh, I listen to:-

Demigodz
Army of the Pharaohs
La Coka Nostra
Soul Assassins
Necro
Wu Tang Clan
R.A the Rugged Man

& many more, too many dope rappers to list.
It's clear you're labeling anything you don't personally like as "wack". Do as you please, but at least acknowledgment how ridiculously ignorant you're being. We get it, you like dark, borderline horrorcore rap. Not everyone can listen to Apathy and Celph Titled spit on a Stoupe beat all day. Personally I find the sound gets very repetitive, though I am a fan of all the artists you listen to, minus Necro.

Can you give some examples of the new underground rap that's great?

I tried to it up by putting a few different sub-genres in there, but I assure you there is most definitely an underground scene still very active, but as with everything you have to filter out the artists/albums that don't appeal to you. Keep in mind these are not my opinion of the very best of the underground, just random tracks off of albums I've enjoyed this year (with exception to Blue & Exile, which I believe was released in 2007).

Hes emonem now.

LOL too true. Hooks like "I'm not afraid" and "Don't hurt me" says it all. He's appealing to the teeny boppers of the world nowadays.

Can you believe Eminem used to make stuff this dope from back in the day?!!!!!!

Yeah well I like to label it as boom bap Hip Hop rather than horroecore. I understand theres a lot of haters with Necro. They are not on his level. Necro is an awesome lyricist, one of the best in the world by far. Poetry in the streets, you need to understand the metaphors that he comes out with. Mind blowing. Chasing the dragon, Necro's verse is amazing.

I agree it does get repititive, but I'd rather listen to that than watch MTV which is repitive to a higher degree.

I used to listen to mellow stuff when I was younger like Deltron, Atmosphere, Aesop Rock, Murs even as far as Sage Francis, but I got bored of that. Don't get me wrong, they made some awesome stuff but I've matured now, I listen to grown men rap, nigga.

And word, the Celph & Buckwild album and also The Left album, probably the best albums out this year.
