It's only £15 for an 8th in the UK? Or is that £30?
Nah $30 is closer to £20, thats pretty much correct (if you know the correct people, as he said - way way cheaper if you just buy a half b with a friend). Otherwise your normally paying £50/q all the way up which can be anything from great to covered in sugar water. Pollen between £30-40/q, and hash ('council brown') between £15-20/q. The 'mainstream' quality is just getting worse and worse (in my area anyway, I'm sure London and other bigger citys still have a ton of crazy skunk going about though)

Shut the fuck up! What kind of container did they send it in? I know someone who tried mailing themselves some weed from amsterdam in a ziplock bag that was stuffed to the bottom of a coffee tin and burried in coffee. The idea was that the coffee would mask the smell. When he got home he received the tin in the mail, but instead of the weed there was a note inside that said, "nice try."

I know it's easy enough to get. I'm just lazy.

I have a friend who orders it online from BC. He's in Canada too so it doesn't cross borders and only goes through domestic mail so that helps.

Also, he has the choice, when ordering, of having it shipped either in tupperware or have the weed flattened and sent in an envelope. He goes with the tupperware because he believes, as I do, that crushing the bud damages the precious trichomes.

He pays around $250 CDN / oz.

A "friend" of mine mailed himself a shitload of top quality Nepalese hash home in some peanut butter and curry jars. Worked great, although the curry was spoiled because the airlock was gone.

yeah I'm going to disagree here. I haven't met a person who smokes weed daily that isn't lazy or lethargic.
Honestly, how many people have you met who smoke weed everyday. I doubt it's many. How many people do you know who don't smoke weed, but are lazy? I know lots. Everyone's different and substances affect everyone differently. Alcoholics and drunks shouldn't drink alcohol because they can't function as normal people when they drink. You can't group everyone who smokes into the group of 'lazy and lethargic' people.

I actually got mad reading some of these posts. Weed does not kill brain cells. That's a myth based on a very messed up study done on moneys in the 70s.

And @ that dude who said he directly saw someone die because of it - either you're a liar, or homeboy was lighting up all day every day with no filters.

you would have to smoke something like 5000 joints in 5 minutes to die from marijuana.

That wouldn't even do it. No one's EVER died from marijuana in the 10,000 years that it's been used for both medical and recreational purposes. Maybe because it's impossible to smoke that much. You'll pass out and take a nap before you ever smoke that much.

In 6 days it's going to be a month that I haven't smoked, don't even think about it anymore. I smoked 5 years straight, and I know all too well how it affected me personally.

I could probably write a 20 page report on the real, unpropagandized effects of marijuana, I talked about a lot of my views with an 8 year chronic smoker and the effects were the similar across the board. I don't mean the obvious ones, but the real psychological impact of being a daily user.

One of my marijuana theories is this: Whatever negative effects you have from marijuana will become ingrained in your subconscious mind. Changing the mind and self.

Let me explain how this gradual impact happens,

1. Conscious thought integrates into the subconscious, this is a fact.

2. Marijuana causes paranoia, fear, anxiety and doubt in your conscious self while "high", also fact. As with any drug, different effects for different people but even if the thought is perceived as a joke when high, it doesn't stop it from occurring. The occurrence of the negative thought pattern is the basis for my whole theory.

What's the resulting effect from all of this if you are a daily/chronic user? You are actively training your mind to hold specific thinking/feeling patterns. These patterns are so gradually reinforced and the time span so large that it by the time you have changed your minds identity, you have no comparative self to compare your current self with.

This also explains why a lot of marijuana users stop after a while because they become too paranoid while high after years of use. Marijuana's effects, I believe, amplifies ones current unconscious states(fear/paranoia/doubt etc..), if the negative effects are being ingrained gradually, it perfectly fits why different people stop at different lengths of time depending on how strong these factors were in themselves when they started.

I hadn't thought about it in this light before, and it was just one more downside to the "joke drug" I went in thinking it would never become a problem 5 years ago. I'm also curious if you guys agree/disagree?

I'm not trying to preach or discourage anyone from smoking, in fact I don't even regret smoking myself, but the above alongside many other logical realizations made me stop for now, I might return at a later point in my life - but on a much more casual basis. As with everything, moderation is key.

I have also reduced smoking, now only on after that day of work is done and usually only on the weekend.

I personally know that if I smoke daily, it becomes something I need to function, or at least my brain tells me i need it.

I'll smoke if I have to brainstorm, or come up with some random ideas. (i've noticed a big help in the creative department)

My overall experience from being a daily smoker for the past 1+ years is that it takes my drive away. (depending on the strain)

I prefer to be ADD as fuck, but constantly going.

Weed slows me down.

I smoke everyday, and have been smoing for the past four years. I'll usually match people, and generally smoke anywhere from 4g - 10g a day. Feels good man.

I might be splitting hairs here, but I think 5000 joints in 5 minutes would probably leave you robbed of oxygen, and, you know, choking on the third degree burns that form on the back of your throat.
That being said, I think we all agree that what would kill you would probably be the "smoking 5000 _____ in 5 minutes" part, rather than the "weed" factor.

Oh, I wholeheartedly agree.

As I said earlier, I spent most of my 20s and into my 30s stoned. We were smoking from wake and bake, to bake and sleep. We smoked everywhere we worked. I even worked for Hemp BC and did page layout for Cannabis Culture magazine for awhile. I ran a small online mail order seed business with a friend for awhile.

I'd been having irritability and small anxiety issues for years but one day in my early 30s I had an anxiety attack so bad I thought I was going to die. I seriously thought I was going to have a heart attack and was hyperventilating and crying like a little bitch to the point of nearly passing out.

Took a couple more episodes like that to realize I just couldn't smoke it the way I had been any longer.

I went for quite awhile without smoking at all. Now I only take a puff or two once in awhile when out drinking with friends. I find that weed no longer helps me mellow me out, but instead it amplified all of life's issues.

10gs a day! I hope(well not really) thats schwag, 10gs a day of what i smoke would leave me smoking weed on the street lol :rasta:

edit: eh i guess if your matching with a couple people and its closer to the 4 its not that bad

Did you notice the bad effects happening more or less with different types of strains? Was it the more heady stuff that made you flip out? I've experienced this in the past(a lot of people have) and for me it always seemed to be the head-high(as opposed to body stone) type stuff that did it. You know, I'm basically talking about the stuff that makes your brain speed up as opposed to the stuff that slows everything down and makes you not want to even move.

It's hard to say. Sativa vs Indica vs a blend... I'd often have no idea what sort of weed we were buying from the delivery guys, and they grow everything in BC. When I got it from friends it would be all over the map too. I never really thought about it to be honest, as it seems like it happens with anything I get, including the nicest blonde Morrocan hash we have here (right off the boats) which I think would be mostly Indica. I can see Morocco on a clear day.

We grew out 10 of these babies last summer outdoors here in Spain...

Marijuana Strain Library - (Arjan's) Strawberry Haze

I was able to smoke a fair bit of it without flaking out but I did have a couple of episodes on it too. It's quite heady at 80% Sativa. We had nearly 5 pounds of the shit and I tried to sell as much as I could so I didn't have to smoke it all myself :)

Maybe I just need to get my hands on a pure Indica strain to see how that goes down.

It's just some decent mid. I don't buy a whole lot of dank. I prefer the social experience rather than just getting high as ever loving fuck.

I chase leads, smoke trees til my eyes dem bleed.
