The grape really seems to mesh well with the strains available out here in the Yay. Orange on the other hand tastes like an abortion fucked a piece of candy.
You're in the yay area? Where? I went to school at SJSU and then moved to SF for a couple years. I'm in Oregon now, but I can't wait to move back to the bay, SF to be exact. I miss having cannabis clubs on every corner.

SF as well.

I love it here. Gay Dudes make the ultimate wingmen... most of their hags are dying for the D

Well, I have an uncle who runs a rehab center here in Portugal. Most of the people there have problems with heroin and cocaine, but some are chronic cannabis users.
What I have personally seen is that a substantial percentage of those chronic cannabis users develop some kind of psychosis like bipolar disorder (and a small percentage even gets schizophrenic).
This is not a thing that somebody told me or that I’ve read in a book. I’ve seen it.
So you guys better take it easy.

Smoking gives me an almost unfair advantage over the competition.

The ads and copy that I create when I smoke almost always pull.

It's like X-Ray vision...

I wouldnt say a substantial percentage of weed smokers suddenly get bipolar, come on now. But I do think a tiny tiny percentage of people can be affected by chronic use.

One of my best friends was part of our "smoking circle" in college, we smoked weed daily like everybody else back then, and one night he just lost it, got a panic attack in the middle of everyone's high, had to be hospitalized and it stayed with him (the panic disorder) forever.

One can say he had the underlying issue all along and the weed brought it out, I guess you could speculate it created it, which I doubt. I think weed enhances your underlying personality and sometimes can take a person who has underlying/unresolved emotional issues and really fuck with their head.

I'm talking about very heavy users and it's not a sudden thing, most of those guys have dozens of years of chronic use. I haven’t made a study out of this (lol), but I would say that probably 5% percent get psychotic (which, for me, it's a substantial percentage).
If they had it all along and the weed just brought it out, I have no idea, but I like to be on the safe side.

As far as smoking to give you ideas in Aff. Marketing, that's yet to be seen. However, if you really believe smoking isn't bad for you, you're kidding yourself. It's not as bad as drinking, of course, but still damaging. Hint: Lighting any substance on fire and putting into your lungs is bad. :)

Are you sure you're talking dozens of years of JUST weed and nothing more? Like shrooms, acid, etc?

And are we talking psychotic like Jim Ignatowski from Taxi here? lol

:stonedsmilie: Classic....

I've known some heavy smokers and come to think about it, only 1 went on to do anything meaningful....computer networking. Would anyone want to do that and not be high? Don't think I've seen a lot of psychological amongst them, most issues before they started.

I smoke almost every day, and find it helps a lot with affiliate marketing (although it does make me kinda lazy). Some of my most profitable ideas have been thought up when high, and I've easily made $100k in the past year from "wild ideas" that came to me when baked out of my mind. I definitely get distracted by TV, Facebook, and everything else while high though which really kills my productivity... it's why I generally smoke every other day, one day I bust my ass off getting shit done, the next I get high and do more creative work.

every time i smoke it seems that all my thoughts and ideas come together in a magical way. plus i feel euphoria for quite a while, it definitely allows me to get shit done and think at a higher level.

Why don't the people who claim to do better work while high do a split test? Work a certain amount of hours high and a certain amount straight and see what works better. I've played with some musicians that claimed to come up with better music while high. Turns out they just thought it was better because being high made it sound more interesting. Coming up with a good idea high can seem like an epiphany, whereas coming up with the same exact idea straight would just seem like a regular good idea.

That said, I do love me some weed.

i haven't tried smoking and working ... i tend to geek out when im blazed .. i dont know why ... i think it might be bc i'm not used to my mind slowing down .. and normally i have a million things goin at once in my head when im sober

no reason to laugh, smoke inhalation of any variety, be it weed, cigarette, or sticking your face over a smoldering plastic fire, is bad for your lungs. it may not kill brain cells, but it's unhealthy. legalize it, but i don't plan on smoking.

I haven't been reading the responses after this, but I'd like to say there have been studies (check erowid.org) indicated that long term use of marijuana does not affect lung capacity or the healthiness of lungs. It has also been shown that it in no way increases the chance of lung cancer. One of the main things that people associate weed to is lung cancer, which a large majority of those smokers also smoke tobacco, which obviously will fuck up your lungs and can give you cancer. Weed itself doesnt, unless you only smoke blunts or joints.

TL;DR: weed doesnt fuck up your lungs.

Was a daily smoker (all day, everyday) for the last like 9 years. I quit smoking (and using other drugs) for 7 months now.. And I can honestly say I stay more productive now. Best thing I could have done for my life and business. Not to say I don't feel like smoking sometimes, its something I'll always love.. But not worth it anymore.

I smoke everyday, but not all day. I work a regular 9-5 in addition to AM and consulting. Weed helps me relax, and also really helps catalyze my creativity. It helps me think outside of the box, and believe it or not, focus on what I'm doing. Work becomes a fun game.
