Did you guys see this story (sorry if it's already been posted. Couldn't find it after searching):

New Details on Harvard Hoax

When I got to the end of the video and heard he could face up to 50 years for this I'm like WTF?!!! Murderers and rapists get lesser sentences...

Just sayin'

pretty harmless "crime". Like Megatabbers said, murderers and rapists dont even get 50 years a lot of times.

You know, we think we're all smart these days with our technology and whatnot, but the truth it that only few were truly smart. People today are just as retarded as cavemen.

i know 14-year olds who operate low-x million ponzi's at this moment but i guess that's another topic

recent technology boosted human intelligence in a strange way, in any case. 19-year olds lying full airplane companies together, only to collapse due to lack of funds [not lack of operation...] 14-yo's running ponzi schemes because they're not old enough/not certed to be financial firms despite actually operating one, crazy stuff like that.

That's insane, you have child rapists getting 4-10 and this guy facing 50? IMO he should get 18 months and 5 years probation, that isn't a kind of mind you throw away forever.

i have no experience with capital punishment, but in terms of damages/indictments, i've seen some very bizarre measures in several reports.

Woh, there is a world of difference between an indictment on tax evasion and the punishment of murder (for one thing you don't actually have to be guilty to be indicted.) And since tax evasion is a monetary crime it only makes sense that monetary damages from tax evasion are much higher than for that of murder. If some mugger stabs a guy for his wallet is there any point in fining him $250K?

I heard he forged his clickbank app too lulz.

But in all seriousness, there's no way in hell he's doing 50 years for that. Maybe a few, then probation... if even that. I'd like to follow this story and see where it goes.
