Awesome!

Is anyone else's Looksmart traffic not converting as well as other sources? I have to bid almost 3 times as high as my other PPC campaigns to get any number of clicks, and those clicks only convert at about half the rate as the others.
The first day I start using Looksmart (a few days ago), I made a quick ipod video page to arb with and test looksmart.. I got amazing results immedietly. The conversion rate was high, but I only got like 120% ROI. Technically I didn't have any investment since I'm using the free $300, but for testing purposes I pretend it's actually my money.

However, today I haven't even gotten a single click and I put a few more sites up. Something is fucked, I didn't change anything but now I'm not getting any clicks on Adcenter at all.

Yeah looksmart seems pretty horrible. I'm supposed to get about 30 clicks/day for a quick cpa site I set up but I didnt get any clicks for the last 6days..

The Microsoft one doesn't work anymore.

Dear John,

Thank you for contacting the US support team for Microsoft adCenter.

First of all, let me apologize for the inconvience that has caused you. The DM-2-1106 promotional code was good for the first 2000 who signed up for the offer, and the flag which told you it was already redeemed is legalize for the 2000 quota having already been depleted for that promotion. To also somewhat add salt to the wound, the $5 sign up fee isn't included in the promotion as part of the credit, and is non-refundable. I cannot offer you this promotion; however, so you don't go away empty handed, I am able to offer you a $50 promotion in its place, which has been added to your account. We are working to get this issue with the past quota promotional codes resolved, and again, please accept my apology for not being able to advance you that promotion.

After testing Looksmart and Ask I've gotta say that Looksmart is, at the moment, converting way better for me. The click throughs are higher and the earning per click seems higher too. The number of searches and clicks on my LS ads is pretty damn low though.

Just for hilarity...

Dear John,

Thank you for contacting the US support team for Microsoft adCenter.

My apologies for not responding to you sooner. I am trying to get something worked out for you and several other customers who tried using the original DM-2-1106 promotion code, only to be informed it had already been redeemed. I will get back to you as soon as I can regarding the outcome. It is getting run up the flag pole, and a decision hasn't been handed down yet. I will notify you when a decision is reached within a next day or two. Please forgive us for the inconvenience this is causing. I am hopeful a resolution beneficial to you will be forthcoming.

It's important that I note that "[Representative's name]" is what I received in the mail, obviously a bug in their mailing app and certainly not me protecting the rep's identity.

God, you'd think a company with billions in cash could at least try to keep up with Google. So little to lose and so much to gain..

Anyway thanks for saving me $5 guys. I did it twice already am literally on the signup page 1/2 way through realizing how dumb it was to wait before doing more when I did the first two.

hm, I didn't get an email from Microsoft. Instead, they called my cellphone to explain the situation and ask me I had any questions or anything they could help me with. I was kind of surprised.

Final EMail:
