Hey guys, I haven't seen many people talking about promoting arbitrage sites with adwords. Is it too risky to try?

* gopherr - Any news about your campaign at findology.com?

Adwords is generally too expensive. You want to get cheap clicks + if you send adwords traffic to adsense arbi sites, google will catch on and smart price your earnings. If you want to test adwords I would have YPN ads running on the arbi site.

Igor: I just got my account & listings approved, and I got the first clicks in, let's see how the conversion goes. The good thing is, none of my keywords were denied. Also, the support has been superb so far, I called them twice, once my rep, once someone from finance, and both times I didn't have to wait at all and they were able to help me out, no problems whatsoever. And the best thing is, when signing up I screwed up, and didn't apply the promo code (I assumed it would apply the coupon automatically). I just mentioned this to my rep, and she entered it while I was on the phone with her.

So the support has been great so far, let's see how the traffic is. Can't be worse than Miva.

It seems pretty good so far. Let's wait and see the big earnings coming in :D.

Success to all.

I did a search online for opinions of findology and found a few too many people talking crap about it, for example:

Anybody else have a horrible experience advertising with Ask?
From what I understand, he was advertising with Ask and his Ads showed up on Findology? Which I can understand he didn't like/was satisfied with :)

Anyways, $25 to "burn" through $75 is fine with me, if I make some Money, good, if not, I only $25 lost that I can write off as expenses ;)

It wasn't just that they were showing up on findology, it's that they weren't converting for shit there. But maybe it's changed since then...

I stopped using 7search a few weeks before they made their changes and I got a phone call today from them asking me why I havn't been spending money with them anymore, I told them if I can't advertise my shitty sites on your shitty spam network then I'll take my business elsewhere.

I stopped using 7search too back when they made their changes. But I logged in yesterday and all my campaigns and keywords were still live, so I threw another $25 in there and everything seemed to work just the same as it did before...

With your arbi sites? You mean you're still getting adsense earnings?

guys adwords arbitrage is still possible, you just have to bid high for a week, then when you get a good CTR lower your bids at the end of the week and you are in the green. You may lose money or break even for that week, but at least you will keep your position. Just make sure your quality score is good. it's doable.

John - what was their response?

7Search is still working fine for me, although my ROI tanked when I started geotargeting so YPN wouldn't ban me for the ~35% international traffic they were sending. Cut out 35% of my revenue and that's 70% of my profit. And I don't trust the quality of the traffic enough to put my AdSense account up as the backup.

Anyway, I started using LookSmart, AdCenter, YPN, and AdWords too when these changes were announced. LookSmart is giving me high volume but it's barely breaking even... but I think once I have enough individual niche data to modify my bids appropriately I'll be in good shape with them. YPN and AdCenter are giving me the expected ROI around 2:1. For some reason AdWords is horrible, I got enough cheap traffic but it just never ever clicks my ads. I think it might be a technical problem on my end.
