I'll admit it, I'm one of the jerks that tries to get you to sign up to an affiliate program*.
Anyway, I had a thought. A real bastard of an idea that would help myself, and people in a similar position to me, out to no end.
Firefox already has extensions that'll give you an Alexa or PageRank score, and easy WhoIs things...
But the WhoIs thing could be made even easier if there was some sort of little widgety extension thing that could read the email address out of the WhoIs info, and just put it up in your tool bar, conveniently next to the other things that make my job easier.
My only problem is that I am not a l33tH4x0r enough to program it, and I don't really have the money to pay someone to do it either
But still, the dream is nice...
Anyone else ever had similar sorts of ideas?
*In my defence, it's A) a job (gotta eat, dudes!); B) actually a decent program, and we're not going to screw you over like some of the others *coughAzooglecough*; C) I'm actually a pretty polite kinda guy and if you don't respond or tell me to fuck off, I'm cool with that; D) I'm a fantastic googlestalker, so I can usually find out a domain owner (even if they're hidden by some proxy service like Monker) if I really want to, even if I have to spend a while doing it.
Also, I don't intend to try to crack onto any of you guys with it, unless you want me to.
