Accuracy of Google Analytics?

I decided to give Google Analytics a try, so far the numbers are not matching the urchin stats that I collect daily on site. Is anyone else seeing the same thing?

What do you think is the best web stats tool out there?

I use a combination of Anaytics, AWStat, Webstats and Performancing Analytics.

Take an average.

Stats are good to view trends, but none of them a 100% accurate.


If your visitor numbers are trending up then you are doing the right thing.

For only web stats alone, Awstats is the best (not analytic purpose)...

AWStats is a package that comes as standard from many webhosts.
