Ad:Tech San Fran Hotel?

Do you really want to stay at a hotel where everybody from the show stays? If so, then enjoy - it can be very beneficial as you will have everyone at your fingertips (quite literally, if you hear the stories about some affiliate manasluts in this industry). That said, as a veteran of countless shows it is nice to stay at some off-the-strip places that provide you some privacy, and enable you to walk through the lobby, to nearby restaurants, etc, without constantly being 'on.' If your meetings are situated properly, you can maximize your efficiency by seeing who you need to meet while still avoiding people that may bog down your personal, independent space. San Francisco is a VERY user-friendly city, and BART is the most efficient public transport in the nation so no matter where you stay you will be within minutes of the Moscone Center.

You can get the real SF experience and stay at Glide Memorial- as featured on The Pursuit of Happiness!!!

W.. only 2k more starpoints per night than the Westin - usually the diff on-season is 6k. Not a bad deal IMO.

Don't go above 6th street on Market. It starts getting ghetto. Where is ad:tech anyway? The Moscone Center?

Stay @ the W on 3rd and Howard (iirc).

It was almost brand new when I moved away from San Fran and it's a short walk to where ad:tech is being held. + you can use your AMEX Starwoods Rewards, right?

All that crap around the trolleys & Union Square is congested, touristy and frankly loud. And a really short cab ride, if you are interested in shopping at the 101 flagship stores.
