AdCenter Transition Woes

This whole thing seems like I giant mess.

I have gotten loads of email, phone calls, and today and post card about this stupid transition.

Still, I have no clue what is going on lol.

Can't even show ads on bing, Support gives me BS about raising bids when that doesn't even fucking matter.

Here is another major problem that I have with adcenter. If you have a Mac they say they do not support Safari or Chromium which leaves Firefox. But if I use Firefox on OS X and I go to the adcenter page its in fucking french! No matter how many times I change the language like they tell me to its always in french. Its driving me nuts having the fucking thing in french.

Also their desktop campaign thing will not run on Office on Mac.

My campaign was with yahoo and had been banking for 3yrs, adcenter wont even approve my ads to let it run on the new shared system.

Thats odd that chrome doesn't work with adCenter for you, I can log on fine w/ it and I'm on a mac too. Have you tried just clicking ok, and then logging in anyways? I get the pop up too when I go to their page but it still lets me login.

I haven't been able to access the adCenter website for months now. Are they blocking access outside of France, UK, and North America? I'm in Sweden, but I've advertised with them before.

We have paused all of our shit until AdCenter does something about the astronomical increase in click costs.

It's the same fucking traffic, and 80% of the advertisers seem to be the same... so why in the fuck does it suddenly cost nearly twice as much to advertise.

We had a bread winning campaign running in MSN only for the last year plus and it's fucked too - not even a transitioned account.

They have managed to fuck up both our existing campaigns with them, and the campaigns we brought over. So much fun.

and as a side-note: AdCenter reps, while nice and attempting to be helpful - have not a single fucking clue how their system works. The seem extremely clueles. Ask a question about the content network... any question. They will act like they don't even have a content network that is accessible from adcenter. Unbelieveable amounts of incompetence.

I've been using Yahoo for years and could never get the parked pages to convert. It all seemed like automated/bot traffic to me. Could be my niches/campaigns too. YMMV.

Not all parked pages are shit.. there are some legit ones there...

Do you have a dedicated Yahoo rep? They have 100% access to all MSN/Bing/Adcenter systems and can do whatever the incompetent Adcenter rep's cannot. My Yahoo rep had to call up the generic Acenter rep I was working with and tell them not to touch my account even if their life depended on it, all because they don't know what they are doing. Kind of funny.

Good god, this is a disaster. I had campaigns that were converting about 1.5% on Yahoo and 2.5% on Adcenter; combined my conversion rates are less than 0.5%. I haven't changed anything. What a nightmare.

This has been a nightmare for me too. I was banking on Bing traffic and the Yahoo traffic has me spending about 3 times as much and converting only about 1/10th of what it use to. I just paused it all since I'm just hemorrhaging $ at this point:-/

Add me to the shitshow.

Was spending nearly $10k a day on YSM now I'm spending $1,500 on my best days.

Haha, I'm having the opposite problem as all of you. I woke up this morning to find 600 clicks, all for the same keyword on a campaign that doesn't normally get 600 clicks in a week. They're all for the exact same keyword, and all coming from search.yahoo.com. Funny thing is this campaign was running on Yahoo and I was lucky to pull 50-60 clicks a day out of it. So either Yahoo's market share went up 1000% overnight or something new is fucked up.

Probably a bidder that took most of your clicks didn't transition properly :D

You would think, but I have always been in position 1.0. So I got 1000x the amount of clicks Yahoo normally provides in a week, in a 2 hour window. Not to mention I started showing for keywords like "britney spears, and leonardo dicaprio" To top it off, now my ad isn't even showing for that keyword on Yahoo and the ads in the #1 spot were previously in the #8 spot. And the final cherry on top is that none of that traffic converted, when normally it converts at about 10%. It's all sorts of fucked up.

Just read this on webmasterworld:

"After numerous calls with many friendly and well meaning customer service reps I had different answers from all. It's turns out that my account was flagged as "low quality" (after 5 years of no interruption on Panama) and there was no alerts in the account at all. EVERYTHING shows active with no alerts on any parameter.

When we were getting ready for the transition we were told by different reps to add allot more keywords - THAT is what killed my account! Now trying to start over with a different account.

So you are NOT wearing a tin HAT! They are flagging accounts as "low quality" and then you are done!. It's not intuitive at all. No chance to clean up keyword lists, change ad copy, and improve landing pages either. JUST DONE! Unbelievable."
