Adobe Creative Cloud.. Pay a monthly fee to access software..

Are you fucking stupid?

Actually, I would love it if they had smaller subscription options. I only use Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign and Acrobat. I stopped using Dreamweaver awhile back when I switched to Sublime Text 2. I don't do any Flash work any more, Flash is all but dead, and I don't use Fireworks. I'm not a video or sound editor so Premier, Aftereffects, Soundbooth, etc. don't get used either. So I'm basically using the Design Standard package but paying for a subscription to the Master Collection, 75% of which I don't use. Call me stupid too if ya like, but it makes sense to me then that I shouldn't have to pay the full amount either.

I agree with your concept, but if they charged $10 a month per app, cause $5 an app seems way too low, then you'd possibly be complaining the other way saying you'd rather have the whole suite for $50 a month instead of paying 30 or 40 for just 3 or 4 apps.

I'm with dreamache on this one. This is software I don't see being replaced any time soon, and I'd rather just straight out purchase it, and upgrade whenever I wanted. I don't want to spend $500 a year and have nothing in the end, especially when to upgrade a suite usually costs less than $500. So it might cost more in the beginning, but cheaper in the long run to just purchase it.

Also, for any full-time students. If you actually want a legitimate copy of any of their products, adobe gives a huge student discount, but they're strict on actually verifying if you're a student. Unlike apple store where you just click on a school and you're good to go.

I'd agree with that, but we don't get to make up the prices. The new sub is a steal.

I have used photoshop basically daily for the last 8 years now (might be more at this point) and I have never paid a cent for it. Pirating it on a mac is one of the easiest things I've ever done, second only to Microsoft Office (you just install it, that's it...with photoshop you have to add some stuff to your hosts file).

Photoshop is the best freeware app ever made
