Adopting image of "the rich guy"

What's costing so much that your friends can't afford it? Are you going out, and renting airplanes, taking helicopter tours, and things?

Or just going for nights out at the bars? If that, your friends can't afford a few drinks? Or they can, but would just prefer you to pay for it?

There's a thin line between being bitter and persuading yourself that you don't need that car, or that you honestly don't want the car ;)
if it's the latter then I have great respect for your emotionless discipline.

Cars are a terrible investment with horrendous depreciation.

I don't claim to be an emotionless robot but to buy an 'expensive' car you need to have enough money to not care about the terrible investment you're making.

Because otherwise....

If you've been convinced to 'reach' for an expensive car for whatever reason then you've been duped.

It's not that I'm immune to this i've just made the mistake before of going for a car i didn't really need and spending money that would have been spent better else where, like building my business, investments, or some other durable goods.

Now each time i see a nice shiny car i think... do i need it ... or am I being told i need it?

You've no idea how many girls have asked to go for a spin in my car.

I wouldn't get that reaction if I drove a vauxhall corsa (my previous car).

Although I appreciate I'll only get that reaction for another couple of years (everyone my age is broke) - it's pretty fun.

If you can afford it I say go for it, the problem is people that take out loans, make ridiculous monthly payments for a car that they can't really afford to try and keep up with the Jones'. There's certainly better ways to invest the money on a financial return point of view, but my car brings me more joy than having the money invested somewhere would.

I bought my car because I could afford it & because I enjoy driving it.

I don't really give a shit what people think of me for driving it, I don't have it as a status icon or anything else. I just love cars [although the girl thing is an added bonus].

I didn't buy my car new either, it was 3 years old, and depreciation on it won't be too bad.

----

Also OP, it sounds like you don't have real friends.

Most my friends are broke and they pay me back every penny I ever lend them. I get the odd remark but usually in jest.

Stay away from such friends they stalks your money. You will end up hurting yourself helping them in anyway.

I have helped (making some money) a motherfucker friend whom I know since past 8-10 years and he end-up sharing my things with another guy. I left that asshole now and guess what he came with gangsta to beat me.

I don't want to go into detail about it, it wouldn't make sense.
Generally, students have to flip every penny twice - that's a fact.
I have friends who seriously consider $20 a huge expense.
Some of them even come from good families..

Am curious, what was your conversion rate on car-generated leads?

This is an interesting topic to me.

First off, you screwed yourself by enabling your friends.

Best thing to do is to have a talk with them and let them know that revenues are a bit down. An easy story is to say its due to Google doing some nonsense, so for the next few months, you're just gonna watch it. Overall you're doing fine, but you just gotta be careful because a part of your business modle has been exposed.

Make it "half true". Your real friends will support you and be cool with it. The others need to be out of your life forever.

But just wait until you turn my age and start growing up. Eventually, you'll probably get tired of retarded 22 year olds doing shots, fighting, and spilling beer all over you. Some of your friends are going to grow up, but a select few will not.

When that happens, you're going to want to go to nicer and nicer places (you're paying more money for the clientele [or lack thereof], not the drinks) -- you'll be able to afford it -- but many of your friends won't be able to, or they'll want to keep doing jagerbombs with kids half their age.

The above paragraph is very much the situation I find myself in.

And as that super nice top shelf stuff that you've worked hard for becomes more and more difficult for your other friends to afford, and you realize that you cannot 100% trust a single person you've met after you've become VERY rich*... you'll start to realize why "It's lonely on top".

TL;DR: Keep hustlin, and keep a group of close friends who will hang with you no matter what.

* I'm nowhere near this point, but I understand it now.

Sounds like you need to work on yourself and discover more about life. When you do, this will not be an issue.

Work on personal growth. If you cannot understand this then start networking with people above you and hopefully you will begin to understand.

That depends on what you count as a conversion I guess. Somewhere between 20 and 60%.

Much better than my conversion rate when trying to convince girls at the bar that I own a bank, anyway. [ 0% conversion rate ]

[ There are definitely better ways to get girls, but it's a positive side effect of not owning a typical car. ]

I feel your pain OP. I went through similar shit. On the beginning I didn't feel well with it but after a while I was fine with my friends buying me beer. Then I took step forward and started to eat on their expense. Now they pay my rent, stock my fridge etc but I'm good with it. You simply have to grow up top understand this world son. You have to grow up to live like parasite and vote Obama.

Hello friend,

Maybe should find friends who much rich then you. Lot rich people like help those who poor and give them some money.

But lot people who poor want those who more rich to give them money. Since you more rich then friends they want you to give them money.

Good luck bro

I think we have something in common.
I too think that each sentence deserves its own line.
I'm glad you think the same way.

Why do you think I went to badger ball? I'm a peasant, BlokBlok is a rich guy. He is obligated to buy me drinks.

seeing as I'm not an autist like you appear to be op I have not encountered this issue I suggest making an effort on leaving your moms basement this month but before that please shave your neckbeard.
