Adsense disabled my account b/c apparently someone put MY adsense on their site which apparently had some DMCA violations? Has this ever happened to anyone else? I emailed them back explaining that I don't have any websites in that niche, and told them to check for themselves. Hell, every site I've used on adsense has had copyscaped passable articles since I started using it in 2006. I'm sure it can all be fixed but I feel they would have taken the time to at least compare the whois of the two or three sites I have on Adsense and the sites I've had in the past on Adsense.

This is bullshit. Fuck you Adsense.

This one's on you bro, not google. Could have been easily avoided....

Adsense Setup -> Allowed Sites

In future make use of the "Allowed sites" feature. I get a few warnings every other week that someone has used my code on a site not on my allowed list.

I'm continually surprised that today, in 2011, people still do not know about (or know about and don't use) the "allowed sites" feature. Especially if you're making a decent amount of money with adsense.

Yea dumb mistake. Just as angry at myself as I am google/the guy who did it for this. I have no idea why someone would put my code on their site though? Apparently this happened back in June and they are just now getting around to contacting me about it.

I'll probably just do as BoFu suggested and get another account, in the meantime though I'm going be as optimistic as possible and check out other PPC advertising possibilities. I've heard there are a couple of decent ones out there.

Just needed to get on my e-soapbox and rant. Thanks all for listening. :)

What incentive does someone else have to use your Adsense pub ID on their site? Just shady competitors or something?

I have no clue. The site niche is about toolboxes...I've never had a site anywhere close to toolboxes, tools, or anything having to do with any type of construction. The closest thing I've had to that I just put up a month ago, and it's barely in the same ballpark as tools.

WAIT

What the fuck is this allowed sites shit? I do well with adsense but never checked into this. Where the fuck is this option? I just scanned my adsense interface and found nothing. Tits for help.

In the old interface it is under Adsense Setup -> Allowed Sites menu

In the new interface its under Home -> Account Settings - At the bottom of the page under Access and authorization

Glad I found this thread, I just started using adsense on my websites. Going to edit that allowed sites list asap

I knew about the allowed sites feature but never bothered setting it up. I'm doing it right now.

On a few occasions I've gotten clicks on ad units that should have no longer existed because I had deleted the entire site. I guess that could be explained by scrapers taking my content and leaving the adsense code in tact. Not safe.

For the allowed sites feature - the old interface only allow up to 100 sites, so if you have more than that you would need to use the new interface.

never knew about this feature.

just added in all my domains. sorry to hear about your misfortune but look how many ppl you just helped that didnt know about this feature either!

<3 you'll find something else to make $$ from your sites im sure.

Didn't know this function exists. I am not really that much making on adsense but still losing this account would results in losing thousands.

Thanks guys for warning!
