So I've been trying a few different campaigns here and there and have generally been running into brick walls (like MS not approving cash blog LPs any more). So I thought I'd try something that seemed simple: 2 direct linked ads on AdWords for a generic, every-day-use product offer.

Sadly, I cannot get the ads approved, and the reason is always "Inaccurate Display URL". I started with the product offer LP URL, then tried my p202 URL, then even tried my Aff Network's URL. Each one is being denied. I'm certain I am not unique in my setup (ad->p202->network->offer LP). Am I missing a step here?

I have checked and double checked for typos in the URLs, so that's not it. Any insight is appreciated.

Your URLs must match. So if you are sending them to "www.affjumpink.com/jump.php?=link", then your display URL needs to be "www.affjumplink.com"

Even if your jumplink finally resolves at "www.productsite.com", having that as your display URL won't fly. However, there are about 10 different ways to get around this problem. Use your head.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the comment. I did exactly this, using my prosper domain as the display url and it didn't fly.

The only way around this that I can think of is if I create a new domain with a page that does a php redirect to prosper. If I try that, I'm thinking I'd need it to pause or something, and maybe include a nofollow.

Is this what everyone else is doing? I find it hard to believe that Google makes it this tough to do Affiliate Marketing when they explicitly state that they're ok with Affiliates.

Your display url must be the page where your visitor ultimately lands. You can't put your prosper202 url as the display url because prosper simply redirects the visitor to the offer landing page, which isn't hosted by you.

If the advertisers landing page for the offer is http://www.acaiberryforyou.com, and your affiliate link is 404 Error,
and your prosper02 tracking url is http://www.myp202.com/tracking202/redirect/dl.php?t202id=7285&t202kw={keyword:blahblah},

then you will need to put down www.acaiberryforyou.com as your display url since that's where the visitor lands after all the redirects.

Hope this helps

Thanks guys. This is exactly what I did to begin with and it was rejected. In fact, it's been rejected three times now. I can't for the life of me figure out why...

scratch that... it's four times now. WTF??

From Google's URL Policy:

Affiliate Policy

We do not allow data entry affiliates to use AdWords advertising, but all other affiliates may participate in the AdWords program. However, we monitor and don't allow the following:

* Redirect URLs: Ads that contain URLs that automatically redirect to the parent company.
* Bridge Pages: Ads for web pages that act as an intermediary, whose sole purpose is to link or redirect traffic to the parent company.

I don't know of a setup that would be in compliance with this policy that allows for the use of any tracking program (P202). It's a mystery.

Google doesn't publish their support number on the AdWords website - but there is a team of specialists at 1-866-2-Google and they will actually evaluate your campaigns free of charge.

The toll-free phone number for google Advertising is:
1-866-2-google(46 6453)

then you should get your ad approved.

Of course, I see this 20 minutes after they close for the day. Regardless, this is a keeper of a tip... thanks. +rep for this one...

UPDATE: The saga continues....

As I said there are 2 ads. I was going through this hell with both of them. Now, for some unknown reason, one of them has been slammed, and the other is happily being served. They have the same damn display url! UGH....
