Just switched to Hostgator. This hit my inbox:

"Why should I take advantage of this offer?
It's FREE advertising for you! Research shows every $1 spent on search advertising such as AdWords can return an average of $21.85!"

Discuss.

I bet it's based on lifetime customer value and not just CPA. I mean the lifetime customer value of companies like Amazon and McDonalds is massive.

i wonder if its an average of some carefully selected sample data

Maybe it's just me; but shit like that pisses me off. If I tried that kinda deceptive ad shit I'd be cellmates with The "tiny little classified ad" guy.

Don't Even get me started how G banks on YTube with all that copyright infingement shit they let people post... like they don't know. My fuckin ass, they don't.

Got any idea of the costs of manually reviewing each youtube video?

You serious?!? Any 3 year old child can find copyrighted shit there in about 15 seconds of random keystrokes.

You sayin if you or I did that we wouldn't be in court day and freakin nite?

Not to mention if G can find dup content across a gadzillion webpages they could Greatly curtail that shit if they wanted to. Bofu2U has a script that does all that. They have legions of coders.

We all know they don't want to find out: because No pirated vids = No YTube. Would'nt you agree?

But i know the world isn't fair and you get the type of legal protection you can afford.

Ok done ranting in this here thread. But shit like that pisses me off!

Really? Try finding Bob Dylan songs.

It takes a decent while to find one that's not a cover version.

lol

It's just not a fair fight if Rob is able to use both hands. Some kind of handicap would help ... perhaps a force feeding of peyote? That might knock him off his game.

An ambitious bright coder might be able to make serious bank wrting a script that finds illegal vids and selling it to the music companies, etc. Automate a custom C&D letter saved to a folder and voila.

Shit fucking Google would double any offer to stop you from selling it.

just sayin

The cost would be negligible considering the amount of money they make.

They do have reviewers for adwords don't they? Imagine the number of advertisers they have who split test like thousands of ads in a single campaign?
