Adwords Keyword Tool Acting Squirrely?

Let's say I put in "cisco routers". It only returns one result - the keyword I entered, and then gives the possibly-related search terms. Sure, there are other tools but this one is so fast and easy to use.

2 questions

1) Anyone else having problems with the Google Keyword tool today (and yesterday)?

2) Anyone heard of companies having keywords removed from this tools database? That's the only other thing I can think of b/c there are hundreds of possible keywords for the term I showed.

It's typically product related stuff that's left out while some other long tails (like "jobs") are able to be returned. It's been that way for years with some of the big players in the cosmetics and other industries.

Seeing it's not all companies that do this, it's likely a special agreement google makes with them upon request (or court order).

I want to buy a keyword tool for adsense and adwords. Please tell me which is cheaper and better.
