AdWords.... OUCH!!!!

truelocal.com what a fucking scam... thye jsut display overture ads on landing pages... thye must be making a killing
 
man, engaged are you recovering from the new algo? declining? or about the same since the hit?
 
Since those are some of the biggest names, I suspect that those are the ones google specifically went after in terms of updating the QS algo. In other words, they had no chance. The algo was basically made to destroy them, and if it caught someone else in the meantime, so be it.
 
The Google Adwords center here in Ann Arbor came to my college for an employment seminar yesterday.

At the end I asked why they made changes to their landing page algorithm and what advertisers should do to get a good QS. They basically gave the same vague BS...

-Focus on the user and have a good navigation.

Everyone in the audience was totally shocked to see a one-legged black kid who looks like he is 13 years old talk about landing pages and quality scores with Googlers. Too many people were asking stupid questions like "how does google auction bids?" and "does the auction happen online or offline?" duuuhhh...

Let's just say he go a little too close the the lions at the zoo during feeding time. He has a video of it somewhere. Not fun to watch, but still mildly amusing because it is Dru!
