At random times of the day our traffic will spike, plateau, and then just fall off to a few clicks here and there. Budgets are wide open at $10k/day and it would seem like the campaign has far more potential that what we are seeing.

Bottom line, it's strange that we're seeing exactly 248-250k impressions on a daily basis. Never more and never less.

My theory... Googles got some type of damage control in place. Maybe keeping relatively new accounts on a short leash? Anyone else seeing this?

Ps. Legit campaign and full site in a pretty neutral niche. Been abused in the past so I can see a little more suspicion from them.

I see this kind of thing happen from time to time, especially in sensitive niches or with new accounts. How old is the account, and have you ever been slapped/suspended with this or a previous account?

Did you check your lost impressions share and exact match impressions stats? If it's not a budget issue I'd suspect either a lack of additional keywords or low cpc costs.

Also... is this in the content network? I seem to hear a lot more about people getting their impressions capped there, rather than on search.

From what I've seen, if it's due to your account being new and in a questionable niche, then over time (1-4 months) the cap should rise and eventually go away. If it's due to publisher complaints on content network, or you having a history of being slapped/banned... then the cap is probably permanent unless you can somehow get yourself whitelisted

Right on, the issue is happening on content only and search seems unaffected. The account is about a month old so we will just sit tight and hope it opens up.

+rep to you both.
