Hi All,

I just got my first ppc project up and running traffic to it from adwords.

I'm getting lots of impressions and nearly 2% CTR on my text ads.. Problem is that none of these clicks are registering in tracking 202.

I've already tested the link that tracking 202 provides (the one that you are supposed to paste in to your text ad for destination URL), and when I paste that link manually in my browser the click registers, i submit a test lead and all the tracking works correctly. When googlebot spiders my site, it registers (like after make an edit to your ad), but when someone clicks on my ad from the search results, it doesn't register in Tracking 202 at all. I've even clicked my own ad and still nothing.

Has anyone else experienced this? Please help, I'm baffled.

In your overview, there's a drop down box where you can choose to Show "Real Clicks", "All Clicks", or "Conversions". Set it to All Clicks and see what happens.

Are you using a landing page? Did you use paste the code prosper gives you on the lander?

Also try remaking the ad and regenerating a new link again, see if it was some simple human error.

Sadly, I've tried all those things.

I am using a landing page and I did cut and paste the script into my landing page, then proceeded to place the redirect code on a seperate offer file that ultimately redirects to the affiliate networks landing page.

I'm pretty sure that I set up everything correctly being that I tested the link myself all the way through to submitting a lead and seeing the click and conversion register in tracking 202 in real time. Everything works, even when I click the ad in the adwords campaign manager Tracking 202 registers it. However, when the ad is clicked from the actual search results, nothing is happening....

in the Setup, did you add [[subid]] to the end of your link? If you didn't do that, Prosper wont make a numbered subid to track the clicks. Those numbered subids are what makes Prosper work. You process a bunch of clicks, Prosper tags a number on each click, and when something converts you tell prosper the numbered subid that converted... and your tracking is completed

Garrett, that is something I did not do.

What is the exact syntax to implement that?

Best,
Chris

That shouldn't have an affect on the initial click count...but definitely a good habit to have backup conversion tracking in case your pixel isn't working properly.

that's what I was thinking.....

And which such a small spend on my part, Google adwords will not want to give me a live person to help me...maybe i'll drop by their office..

Man fuck google. I'm still having this fuckin problem and I started from scratch...a brand new campaign in Tracking 202...same goddamn thing, click the ad from my ad manager in Adwords everything works fine tracks and everything...click from the fuckin search results and NADA...and evidently there is no info anywhere on this shit.
