Are there any chat rooms like cakeschat where people are somewhat active? Last few times I checked cakes was dead, and a chat window on the side helps prevent any boredom from happening when coding.

If there's no WF chat that's current and anybody else is bored and tired of forum posting, I made this room a while back and I'll chill in it http://uberaffiliate.com/affchat/

There are several, however you can join them only after being referred by one or more big brands that you have represented at one point.

the irc thing has been tried over and over again. Problem is everyone goes in there for a week hoping someone drops some crumbs on the floor so they can eat it up. Oh yea and most of the people are social awkward weirdos in real life so when everyone's in a chat room it turns into a 6th grade prom night. Nobody wants to talk or do anything.

I think every year 2 of these threads are started. There are chatrooms, mainly on skype; but only for WF premium members.

Ya, and this thread got me invited to a couple of them. Success.

KEEP INVITING ME I SWEAR I'LL GET DRUNK AND REVEAL CAMPAIGN TIPS

I've gotten invites to all kinds of chat groups/rooms/Skype groups over the years but never really participated other than logging every blue moon.

I wouldn't want to talk about anything more confidential there than on a public forum like this. No matter how much I think someone is cool, they aren't cool enough for me to be telling how I pay the mortgage.

Now, once every blue moon true partnership endeavors do come around but those are strictly phone call only and only after that we may talk occasionally on IM.

I've never met anyone serious in this game that was willing to sit around and chat in a chatroom all day.

I've got so much real estate between my monitors that it's no harm to throw a Skype chat into the corner of one of them.

I just tried to go into Goober's but no one was in there.

Yeah 10-20 people filtered in and out over the day, and most I ended up going into a Skype group with, so I left when I was the only left.

Says it's invite only...

I'll probably regret this but if somebody can provably discuss seo intelligently and has a high mastery of tools like ubot (not scrapebox) or php or python development skills (not ruby) or owns high PR sites (generic TLDs only) I'll vouch for you. We're some of the biggest SEO's you've ever (and never) heard of, and there's some room for new blood and fresh ideas. The strict rules are no service providers (don't need shills), no trolls, and you need to have represented at least 3 pretty big brands at at least 1 point.
