Unless a company has been given explicit permission to even talk about an individual, you may find yourself in hot water, depending on the country (Canada, Australia, NZ, HK and UK all have dedication Privacy commissions from memory all with different laws).

I am not saying you have it wrong, I am just saying it's complicated and worth looking into if you wanna cover your own ass.

A central database of fraud affiliates, love the idea!!!! At motive we call every affiliate who signs up. We do this for two reason first it filters out the real scam artists, as they tend not to talk. Second, it’s not good enough anymore just to let affiliates sign up blind networks need to offer more support to affiliates and there is no better way than to talk. I also like the idea of getting industry references but I fear this would cut out the new guys and smaller players. For now, I’m sticking with basic site research and a nice warm phone call.
