Affiliate Marketing IRC servers/channels



Ironically a lot of us started on IRC in the 90s talking about $$$ and affiliate marketing but back then it was adult stuff only pretty much and there were few laws.
 
I'm curious too. I've jumped on a few of the old haunts but never got into AM when I was using IRC.
 
I think BHW has a chat at irc.blackhatworld.com... (checking)... yeah they do, it even has like 50 users in it. Not sure about the quality of content
 
People are still using IRC these days? I thought it died 15 years ago lol I might download it again now for shits and giggles.

Back in the nineties I was there every day till about 4 AM. My mom threatened to cut off the Internet so many times lol. 90% of my conversations on mIRC would start like this:

me: m or f?
other: m
me: kbye

me: m or f?
other: f
me: k cool asl?
other: 37 f milwaukee
me: kbye

Surprisngly I've met some pretty awesome people on there that are still friends to this day.

IRC isn't dead, Freenode is the go-to place if you're having difficulties getting a prog to work. Python channel has about 2000 people in it at a time, ASM about 800. Not sure of any marketing channels though, I was thinking of creating #maps on Rizon or 2600net. I can ask around and see if anybody knows of any good channels, but I think mostly people are fucking w/ slack these days. The DG slack was poppin off for a while until gay drama ruined it.
