Affiliate Summit Feedback

The value is obviously in the networking, partying, strip clubbing, period.

I love those tacky looking bags of advertisements they give everybody. They could have at least been cool like the CX Digital bags...

If you read my post I don't mind being approached a pitched. But for gods sake have a unique value proposition.

Bingo! It's amazing how many affiliate marketing and related companies seem to go out of their way to be totally unmemorable in a crowd of their peers.

We should have them back from the production company in a couple weeks.

Hey Shawn please post and let everyone know when you get those back and they are up. I was pissed I had to miss it and want to watch them for sure. Thanks.

ASW was great. You seem to learn the most outside of the summit though. Just going to the parties, dinners and strip clubs. Overall it was a great experience and well worth the time and money to get out there. I suggest anyone that is going to do a conference to go to one in Vegas over any of the other ones.

For all the money so many ASW attendees purportedly make, the pics and photos floating around the blogs tell a story of horrid fashion sense. Come on, a skull & crossbones velvet blazer???? *shudder*

Not sure what you're referring to. For a bunch of geeks, I thought everyone dressed pretty sheek. I was pretty much the only one in tennis shoes (being pregnant, my back pretty much demands tennis shoes). I was hyper concious about it though, cause I usually like to dress up, so I did notice that almost everyone around me looked nice.

mostly referring to the "super" affiliates -- Amit Mehta, Zac Johnson, John Chow. ZJ's jacket is almost as bad as Chow's flattop. For being such public figures, you would think these guys would invest in an image consultant or something. Could make for a cheesy, before and after puff piece.

C'mon girl - you looked great!

As far as dressing goes, I think it's cool when people obviously either don't care or they choose to stick out. But like Lauren said, for the most part, everybody dresses very well for a bunch of computer dorks. :p

Out of those 3 you mentioned, 2 aren't even affiliates.

But really, who fucking cares. This is Affiliate Summit, not Adtech.
