No, I just forced her to go from shitty AOL explorer to Firefox like two weeks ago, and she doesn't install things like that. Her computer is old as hell though and has had virus problems in the past.

And yeah, changing the domain seemed to fix it. CTR miraculously jumped up to almost 80%.

Right. First I saw it redirect. Then I went through a proxy and it didn't. THEN I cleared the cache/cookies and it loaded fine with no proxy. This was all in Firefox.

This is the part I find very interesting. Typical spware/adware should not disappear with a cleared cache. It must be some kind of browser exploit; would need to have a programmer look at it, presuming you can get it to reproduce.

It could have been any site that "installed" it. Because you saw such a dramatic jump in CTR, my guess is that its likely it was another advertiser. See if you can reproduce the issue. Also you could start digging around to find other pages using that particular affiliate ID.
