And what the hell are they doing pre-selling a game over a year and a half in advance? I've seen even promising games get scrapped in less time than that. Makes me wonder how many days until they start pre-selling for Blizzard's mysterious Titan MMO project, which probably won't be released for another 3-4 years.

Think of it as a seo tactic - the page is there early. When they start advertising and you search - that's where you go. Yeah that's it. It's not like a corporation as big as sony would pre-sell a game that wasn't finished yet.

I like where your going here it makes sense but there is one problem. Clearly a bait and switch technique developing if sony knows that the PS4 wont be out until 2014. Im not mad just saying that in selling this is a big no no . At least in direct marketing I've always been told this. Probably won't matter cus Sony is a big brand at 1 point
