ahrefs for sale

It's because it costs them a lot of money to crawl the internet accurately and quickly enough to keep up with growth. To have a good index of backlinks, you have to have ridiculous, Google level reach and speed. That costs a fuck ton of money to do.

THIS.

This software is worth a lot of money if combined with proper marketing.

Even thinking about the database needed is giving me a headache.

How about just an api model that isnt a fuckin scam.

Shit, we're probably going to end up having to build our own to save money with the way all these shitty ass site explorer folks mangle there terms of service or api costs.

You should have seen the API prices they had after they launched. Like $10 for 500 API credits.

For a service I got i need to check backlink number for 100k sites per day, it would cost $2000 per day rofl. I was emailing them if it was a joke or not

At majesticseo they gave the api to me for free in exchange for some promotion.

They lowered it allready but their pricing is just horrible. They should provide very cheap or free API access for developers if they want to promote themselves.

why? they're not a charity, they're a business. They need to make a profit.

Because they dont make a profit by pricing themselves out of business or putting restrictions on the api that make any sort of big customers more likely to develop their own systems then work with them.....

Theres a big difference between high pricing and retarded pricing.

Ahrefs is well beyond retarded pricing. Majestic/ Moz have laughable limitations / tos attached to them.

My guess is we wont see anything realistic until yse goes down. Right now proxies are by far the best investment.

Why is it "retarded pricing"? How much exactly does it cost to build, run, and maintain an index of backlinks from the internet? How much does it cost ahrefs.com to receive an API request, look up the results, and respond to the client with such results?

Just because your API pricing doesn't make all developers happy doesn't mean it's the wrong price to charge. What should they be charging?
