Off-track, but still interesting...

Who is your favorite movie/television villain? Lots to choose from. Here's one of mine:

"You asked for miracles, Theo, I give you the F... B... I."

Pulp Fiction FTW... There are just too many classic quotable scenes in that movie.. Plus its all worth it just to see Samuel L go off on people...

u forgot to add Troy my all time favorite movie:).I will go for god father series in this list....

Godfather, Starwars easily.

All the movies on the list are good, but I can't imagine saying Shawshank the best of all time... same with a lot of the others you guys mentioned.

Alright I've got to be the pretentious dick on this one I see - Godfather III should never be considered in the same breath as Godfather I and II. They whored the godfather name out and put together a mediocre movie 20 years later just to cash in on the name. If you read the book you know that Godfather I and II are the story - part III was an afterthought.

All that being said, It's impossible to choose one but gun to the head I'll take Godfather I. Very few movies can I watch multiple times - not only have I watched it probably 30 times throughout my life but somehow everytime I see it I notice some other nuanced detail I'd never caught before.

GF3 was nominated for 7 Academy Awards and grossed over 130mm. I won't deny it is the weaker of the three movies, but comparing anything to GF1/GF2 is a futile effort. I still enjoy GF3 and watch it whenever I can, the Atlantic City gun/massacre scene is one of my favs of any movie...

The biggest flaw in the movie IMO is Sofia Coppola cast as Michael's daughter... she just didn't pull it off. But who could have? Think about it...

A lot of undeserving movies get nominated for Academy Awards. If it was called anything other than Godfather III would it have gotten those nominations? I don't think it was horrible, I just think it was mediocre and that Pacino wasn't very good in it. I wouldn't even put it in a top 25 list, let alone top 10. American History X was pretty good too, but also doesn't deserve top 10 nomination. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is the biggest absence I see - that movie was fucking awesome.

All these movies are great but none of them are ahead of their time as much as

A Clockwork Orange
