What shopping cart software do you reccomend? Anyone here have one that works with paypal fine?

Personally I have built many client websites with osCommerce but would probably steer you towards zenCart (fork of osCommerce & it is actually actively maintained)

I've also heard a ton of good things about Ubercart (module for Drupal)

If you use zenCart or osCommerce, make sure to use the Ultimate SEO URLs module.

I have successfully used osCommerce on many client websites however I would recommend ZenCart... since it is actually maintained. If you use either of these carts, make sure to setup the Ultimate SEO module.

Also, I have heard great reviews of UberCart, the ecommerce module for Drupal.

The best thing to do is to install a few different packages and test their basic functionality out. osCommerce and ZenCart are very easy for end users to pickup.... which is quite important in my book.

Also, some folks use OS Commerce, apparently there is a WordPress plugin, you can use the PayPal cart, and there are a bunch more eCom softwares out there. I personally prefer the eCom cart that I wrote (and am constantly trying to improve), which is integrated into a number of sites that I have worked on over the last year or two. Rather than toot my own horn, I will send you a PM with details.

dude oscommerce is the pits. especially if you have a lot of products. there are 3 options to look at if you are serious

1. bvcommerce (it's paid, but secure and very easy to make chages)
2. shopify (they take a portion of the sale, no setup easy to start)
3. magento (web 2.0 version of oscommerce but still in beta). I haven't tested it yet, but seems way above oscommerce).

One thing I've learned from my shitty osc experience is that if you want to build something that is lasting you are shooting yourself in the foot by using osc. it is crap
