I've been using RSSOwl for the past few months, it's okay. There seems to be a lot of hype for NewsBlur, Feedly (garbage if you have a lot of feeds), theoldreader, and a few others at the moment. A lot of sites are still slow from the traffic they're getting. It seems there were a lot of features in Google Reader that I rarely used, but were the sole reason people used it.
