Ok, so i don't consider myself as a complete noob in IM, but i think i made a few noobie mistakes with a new domain of mine.

So it went like this:

I had about 30 pages indexed in google in 2 days after i uploaded my new site. 2 days later and everything is pulled off from the index. The mistake i made is, that the new site was on addon domain and i forgot to do proper redirections and robots.txt modification, so the site was reachable from the main domain also (addon.main.com, main.com/addon etc.).

Could this be a good enough reason for google to ban my new site within 2 days after indexing it, or am i experiencing something else perhaps?

i don't think you've been banned per say. If a single site has two domains (ie two domains point to the same nameservers and are identical) than it drops one from the index. The one it drops is usually the one with the least amount of links to it. the domain.com/addon shouldn't matter so much but i would block that from the robots.txt. If you redirect your previous add on domain it should drop from the index and your desired domain should come back in shortly. Also to make double sure google knows which domain is yours you can also take off the relative internal links for awhile( ie. /page1.html becomes http: //www. mydomain.com/page1.html).

4 days total is not enough time to hypothesize about anything. Come back in 2 weeks and post where you stand. It's very easy to jump the gun in this industry and assume the worst.

I will report back in two weeks, but you have to admit, that it's somewhat weird that they had my pages listed in the index for 2 days and then yanked everything off , what you think?

Been there plenty'o'times - and 2 weeks later some made it back, some didn't - but also some made it back a month later, and theres a few that are lost :(

care to shed some more light in to it. Like what do you think happened? Some sort of google penalty/ban/label/flag? To me it looks like a penalty, why else would they yank my entire site off, after indexing it? However it is early to tell, because i have not experienced this before. Perhaps, it's normal behaviour, or peraps they made a mistake with the fast indexing in the firstplace.

Btw, yahoo has indexed few of my pages.

I think you just hit a different datacenter, but that is being said without any knowledge of the history of your domain, etc.

Go build something else and come back to this one later.
