Hmmm reasonable question OP, even if I am now led to believe you're a closeted ebony-evangelist.
You have to remember that advertising is by and large aspirational, and a lot of the times it should never be taken 100% literally.
What you may see as a white woman with a black man who puts yours to shame, others may see a college-educated couple who are the very embodiment of modernity.
The idea of projection, as you've already been thoroughly rinsed for in this thread is extremely prevalent in advertising.
If you can't relate to the people in the commercial you're either a) Really Cynical, b) A marketer, so again cynical or C) Not belonging to the target market.
There is of course option D) The advert sucks, but this is subjective and is more likely than not to be a case of C. Of course companies do make bad ads, but by the time they're on the TV they've already been screened, tested and revised.
TL;DR You actively notice more inter racial relationships. You see people in terms of colour, therefore the new [socially liberal accessory] probably isn't for you.
