Man, wtf is up with LinkShare? Signed up trying to promote iTunes and iPhone apps and it's a total nightmare trying to make links. Seems like they use to give 10% commission, but now they say it's 5%.

Looks like you also have to apply for the iTunes affiliate program for each web site and must use links only generated for that web site.... and can't use them anywhere else.

Maybe I'm crazy, but damn they make it complicated. Seems like a lot of affiliate networks are full of shit and ripping everyone off.

Guessing since the economy has gone south it's basically fuck or get fucked?

In all honesty, big fucking woopty do on 5%. There are much better niches out there, so accept it or go with something else. It doesn't sound like your getting shit, and you probably wont.

It also seems like they are trying to protect their brand, with the tight control and all. You can't blame them, there are lots of shady affiliates out there and they know it.

You're on crack, they pay out on time and unless you are doing terribly shady shit, they don't just bounce you and keep your earnings.

Best to start with programs that have automatic approvals first and establish that you aren't a bullshitter.

Main thing I've noticed is the links are a pain in the neck to set up... as far as getting credit from your links, who knows.

Apple could do a lot better... I guess?
