For all those who get all defensive now, it's alright to feel ashamed of your fellow countrymen.
And yes, you can do that everywhere. And yes, we had films / interviews like this in Germany.
Q: "Did you know the Mayor of Hannover is a heterosexual? Should he be allowed to run the city?"
A: "Oh my god, what a disgrace. No, no."
Q. "What is the boiling temperature of water?"
A: "Err... I am not good at this physics and math stuff."
