Another sad act of bullying :(

These threads.

Why didn't her dad do something? If it had been my daughter the moment I found out I'd be setting him up to meet in real life. Then I'd beat the living fuck out him even if he turned out to be another 7th grader. I might accidentally kill him.

The question is why are you so empathetic towards these type of people?

Empathy for the weak is a natural human emotion. If a person doesn't feel something when they see the weak being beaten or taken advantage of then something is wrong with them.

Lots of fail in the story/situation. I don't know what her parents did or didn't do to help her, so I won't comment on that.

Maybe more disturbing are some of the obviously illegal activities that took place with seemingly no punishment whatsoever. Someone was sending around topless pics of a 7th grader, then using them as blackmail and no mention of an arrest or even an investigation? WTF. I don't live in Canada, but I'm pretty sure they have child porn laws there.

Then she gets what sounds like a brutal ass beating on school grounds and still no charges are pressed. Again, WTF. Children don't have a say in whether charges are pressed, parents, and in this case school administrators do though.

Did she make some poor decisions? Sure she did, what 12-15 year old hasn't. Would punishing those responsible have stopped her from killing herself? There's no way of knowing that, but it's obvious she didn't get the support or help she needed from a number of different people.

And I hope some of you in this thread make sure all of your baby batter ends up in a reservoir tip or lord help the children you raise.

Not necessarily now. Not all men are ruled by emotion. Perhaps they feel it and logic still reigns supreme, or perhaps they've transcended it altogether. Doesn't make them a sociopath.

Hell, the Buddha was the king of detachment and didn't feel sympathy or want to teach anyone. It wasn't till it Buddhism hit China that people started bringing compassion into the picture.

And there wasn't nothing wrong with the Buddha. Perhaps the most "unwrong" and insightful person to have existed.

Having emotions doesn't make you illogical it makes you a human. Empathy is a natural human emotion even buddha had empathy (compassion). Having emotions doesn't mean you're ruled by them.

The entire premise of business is generally (but not always) is to take advantage the weak or lazy or whatever.

The premise of sport is to beat the weaker competitor.

Basic human and animal survival is about taking advantage and beating the weak.

No, it isn't. What a myopic view of the world.

The premise of business is to serve the needs of others.

Mutual cooperation for mutual gain.

Society.

Government is exploitative. That's domination of the stupid by the smart, the weak by the assholes with guns and tanks.

Business is about transacting without coercion.

Oh gee totally forgot about the berriez. My bad. I'm not saying there aren't legitimate good business that provide value to their customers, but for every one there is there's at lease one that doesn't.

So I know we're all thinking it... where are the tit flashing pics?

Also, wtf is wrong with you Canadia? In the USA having a facebook page for your tits would make you the most popular girl in school.

Legitimacy is in the eye of the consumer, not you or me.

If people think berries are legit, and buy them, then for them, they are.

Don't get caught up in projecting your values as objective truth. It will lead you into a lot of pointless arguments, and it's not a position you can substantiate.

Whether or not the customer things it's legit doesn't actually make it any more legit. The business is taking advantage of customer by not disclosing that it isn't legitimate.

Spin it however you want.

I think we have 2 extremes here and the right answer lies somewhere in the middle.

The most successful businesses do not only serve the needs of others but are able to create the need (or the illusion of the need) in the "weaker" consumer, so yes in that sense Rage9 has a point.

People don't look at the root causes of this which are cultural Marxism,

1. Alaska: 22.1 suicides per 100,000
2. New Mexico: 20.4 suicides per 100,000
3. Wyoming: 19.7 suicides per 100,000
4. Montana: 19.4 suicides per 100,000

47. Massachusetts: 7.6 suicides per 100,000
48. Connecticut: 7.4 suicides per 100,000
49. New York: 7.0 suicides per 100,000
50. New Jersey: 6.7 suicides per 100,000

People in New Jersey and New York are too busy trying not to get shot to worry themselves with some dumb shit like suicide.

I'm talking specifically about bullying suicides, you retard. Of course Alaska's gonna have higher rates, some villages are completely cut off from society and young people have a tough time with the loneliness.
