Tobsn lives with me, in america in search of opportunity!
even his girlfriends new boyfriend made fun of him for being "americanized"!

Oh and Tobsn had the time of his life in Las Vegas america!

Yet Tobsn is the super anti-american.

I am pretty sure I am going to have to declare war on the german population of our house, and With the 3 americans vs 1 german I think Tobsn has much better odds then the rest of the german population.

seriously don't go to someones house and talk mad shit about the people who live their its retarded. Suppose I moved to germany.... god fucking forbid, and I moved in with some germans, and I told them their society was shit at least 1x per hour of every day I lived their?

Germany, german media is super anti american so I can see where Toby gets his bias... but you gotta stfu about that if you live here plain and simple or I will kick your ass to the extended stay.

My point was argued in my first post. He didn't understand the concept of patriotism. So I retracted my original point of him being just an idiot, and emphasized it with the addition of a "fucking".
No, I understand patriotism, I just think it's a crock of shit. The human race will unify one day... assuming that we don't blow each other to fucking smithereens first over some stupid ass argument over minor differences that got blown way out of proportion.

But you are right: you, as an American (and being an incredibly patriotic one at that), are much different and superior to every other group on this planet. Just don't come begging to me when your economy fucking tanks and mine remains strong (even though I'm about 1.5 hrs from "America").

But I'm the idiot. Nevermind the "go-me" moron (that'd be you, to clarify) that can't figure out an obvious reality, even when it's sitting right in front of his fucking face. Congratulations dumbass, you missed the obvious train... yet somehow, everyone else with half a brain got on. Aww baby, that must hurt. Here, here's a flag for you to wave :)

LOL You never even really made an argument. But hey, do what you gotta do. What color is the sky where you're from anyway?

My point is that if you took your bullshit argument out to the real world no one would agree with you. Most people grew up being proud of where they live, who they are and how they were raised. You apparently, are not, and that's fine - but again, you are in a small minority to think that pride and patriotism are a "crock of shit".

Just because no one agrees with an argument doesn't mean it's wrong. Here, please explain to me what makes YOU so different from a European or a Canadian?

Come on, this ought to be good.

I have to live with this German guy. Derek you seem upset, However Toby has his points. Our economy is completely fucked right now.

Tobsn and the rest of the world just laugh at us. We elected a borderline retard as president, twice.

You're obviously not following. This has nothing to do with who's better than who - that's your argument. That's why your whining like a little bitch.

My argument is that everyone, everywhere has pride and some degree of patriotism--with the exception of you.

That's not my argument man. Re-read it.

As fucked up as this whole shooting is more kids die from drinking at college then getting shot. I hope we don't have another prohibition because of that fact.

if you search in german for "shooting university" you only find news about shootings at US universities... it's kinda weird if you think about it, it's saver to go to college in every other country. i never heard of a shooting in a college in canada, mexico or anywhere else but if you search the news for those keywords you find page per page news about shootings at universities in america. we had shootings in schools in germany too but like, i cant remember, two since germany exists?

...and the problem are the guns not the people. there are crazy people all over the world, with problem much worser then here but they're not running wild with a gun in their hands.
oh and now don't say america can't change the gun laws because its in the constitution.
the united states constitution is written down in 1787, whoever thinks you can apply those rules to the people these days is just wrong and even if you want to keep the constitution, don't tell me "you can't change the constitution" because that's not true.
amendments are possible and america did a few amendments in the past, so why does nobody want to change the law to protect the american citizens against guns?
also don't tell me everybody can have a gun because its in their own responsibility, then why you don't tear down the traffic lights and close police departments. some people are just not responsible enough to handle a gun that's why the state should take care about that.
and yes, i know its not in every state the same, that you can just get a gun but what sense does it make when i can drive 2 hours, get a gun in another state where its possible and drive back home.

i am not anti-american, don't get me wrong, i love america. its a great country. i just don't like how some things get handled here, nobody wants to takes care about a few things and everything you get as answer are stupid sentences like "because its in the constitution" or "you can't just change it".
if you want, you can change everything. it happens all over the world, every day. it also happens in this country, but not often enough.

Law of Attraction - You will find whatever you seek to find, regardless of its credibility or level of truth.

As fucked up as this whole shooting is more kids die from drinking at college then getting shot. I hope we don't have another prohibition because of that fact.

The news networks don't devote days and days to covering something like a drunk driving accident. Shooting sprees, on the other hand, are gold to them. What ticks me off is that college shootings are propped up as the reason for gun control legislation, and "everyday" murders are therefore less important, and it's directly because the media shoves these sensationalist stories down our throats.

Look, the fact remains is that people maintain universal properties, regardless of whether their German, American, or whatever. I'd hate to rain on your parade Tobsn, but that's reality. It's the same reason that brutal murders and serial killings can occur in Britain, America, and even Canada (you know, the "safe" refuge for those worldwide who need shelter). You can sit here and be anti-American all you want, and beak off about whatever the fuck you want, but you are no different from anyone on a fundamental level.

Crime exists. Violence exists. The only difference is some people cry for help in English and others in German, French, Russian, etc.

But that's not even the fucking point of this thread. RIP to the victims of this tragedy.

Everyone here has made valid points and strong opinions, and there is no 'right' answer.

Taking away guns from everyone would render the people (of the U.S.) helpless and unable to defend themselves against a corrupt government, in case such need arise. Let's hope it doesn't.

I guarantee that the rest of the world doesn't want an out-of-control U.S. Government - one could argue that it already is. We need to protect ourselves from our own republic, so to speak.

Regarding Criminality...

Fact: Criminals in ANY country can and will obtain firearms, no matter what. I've heard somewhere that roughly 90% of firearms used in homicides are unregistered.

That being said, we can't penalize our law abiding citizens by outlawing guns. We currently have laws that outlaw certain times of artillery - automatics, assault rifles, hand grenades, etc - which I fully support.

But that's not even the fucking point of this thread. RIP to the victims of this tragedy.

Thank you. It's a shame when tragedy happens, no matter where it happens; that's the bottom line.
