Audi's are exactly the opposite of what you might call reliable. VW just can't make a reliable car...

If you do not mind the ugly, 2009+ TL SH-AWD can be a decent choice. They have amazing SH-AWD, the downside is 5 speed auto that makes this 305-hp car perform around the same as 211-hp A4...

i'd say go for it.

i've had my IS300 for almost a year now. and I LOVE IT TO DEATH.

super reliable. and has a lotttt of miles.

and still going strong.

my dad's LS has over 300k miles. super reliable.

I've driven the new Lexus ES350's and I wasn't impressed. The driving experience in a BMW I feel is much better. I would also definitely pick an Audi A7 over any Lexus.

Lexus is the 'luxury' alternative to Toyota. You will get a variety of opinions on what make, model, and trim to get.

If you prefer Japanese luxury - Acura, Lexus, Infiniti
Audi is German luxury (as with BMW, Mercedes, etc).

Japanese cars are known for their reliability, while German is known for their status and great driveability.
