Used to live there in a condo. Watching the bishes go to work at 15ish in the afternoon was quite a sight.
Watching the Chula bunnies around Siam Square is also quite nice.
BTW, updated murder rates for last year show Thailand only slightly higher than the U.S., 5.3 versus 4.8 per 100,000. Most of those murdered are men (according to Thai gov stats), so the thing about women traveling alone in foreign countries, although true, is rather impertinent when it comes to your chances of being murdered in Thailand. I've never seen stats that show murder rate of foreigners versus locals. But there is news of foreigners being killed regularly. UK labelled Thailand as the most dangerous vacation destination for Brits, presumably based on stats they keep. So like I said, it's easy to feel safe if you don't know the language and are clueless about what is happenign around you. But reality may be quite different.

lolwut. everything you post is so wrong. singapore is boring as hell, expensive for most things, and the women are uuuuuugly. bottom of the barrel as far as asian countries to live in go. not to mention it's a tiny island and you run out of things to do in like 2 hours.
bangkok and tokyo are the best places to live in Asia. hong kong is fun for a week but you'll get a headache living there and a closet-sized apartment costs as much as a 200sqm penthouse does in bangkok.
hong kong is good for business though. more IMers should set up shop there.

Depends on the niche, Taiwan is well known for bicycle, bicycle parts and I think boats and boat parts.
I am not 100% sure to be honest, most of the manufacturing has moved to China.
Taipei Taiwan is a tech city, maybe just a bit behind Japan, but wayyyyy cheaper. I would say anything you find in Japan or even Asia, we have it here for cheaper.
It is definitely a place for online gaming company tho, lots of mmorpgs, here are a few you guys are probably aware of.

Yeah, I've lived here long enough to know well the different types of girls and I definitely appreciate the quality you encounter at the better Bangkok locations. But even if someone is not so discriminating wtf do they see in that ugly skanky stuff?
