Anyone Actually Like Clickbank?

Clickbank has turned into the "playground" for the spammers, luring newbies in to be a spammer just like them.

Here's how "gurus" work:

1. write an ebook telling people how to earn $10000 a day (it's easy!)
2. tell them to promote the ebook they've just brought using clickbank and articles (it's easy!)
3. Make $10000000000000000 and then release another ebook on clickbank under the same name.

I think I'd probly murder a guru if i seen one.

There is plenty of stuff there that is not IM or get rich quick. In fact none of the products I promote are. But alas, I do agree there is alot of that crap there too....

That's the real way to make money with Clickbank. Sell ebooks that serve the purpose of selling your ebook. It'll take a while for people to realize the book is fairly useless, at which point they buy another one! :rasta:

i want to know what affiliate program did you guy recommend?
the only thing i like about CB is after you sign up you can straight away promote the product.
others need to own websites and takes few days to approve.

Clickbank has recently added new tracking techniques & stats. I like the fact that they have a lot of crap to sell on there. It makes those diamonds in the rough on there all the more profitable - because most affiliates give up before they find them.

Their refund policy is a bit lax- but I think it has to be w/ the crap they sell on there. If you find the right product, you won't have to worry too much about refunds.

I've recently had good luck with selling an xbox 360 repair guide from CB - because of the major problems Microsoft is having with that console.

We used to have a product we promoted through CB - pulled it. Not an ebook. Lots of our competitors use CB. Good for me because support is so bad. As an AM its impossible to communicate with your affiliates because you don't know who they are...I like my indy aff. program. :-)

If ClickBank would agree to my terms then I think they would get themselves a MUCH better reputation and a hell of a lot more business from the rest of the industry. But, they refuse to, because the scammy ebooks they allow do in fact make them lots of money, and they also banned me and all of my credit cards because I told people to buy the scammy ebooks and refund them afterwards.

If someone would create a platform similar to ClickBank, with a few VERY necessary changes and rules, and make it much more robust, they would bank. Hard.

There is also a site like paydotcom, but one of the biggest scammers in the ebook industry runs it - aka Mike Filsaime (sp?) - and I've heard some pretty evil stories about what they do with the personal and business information they store on their affiliates, so technically, no, there is no REAL alternative at the moment. But there will be someday I'm sure.

True, I think they have some changes which they need to make for sure. If they don't, the competition will catch up real soon or somebody will as these new companies are starting to see the money in it.

Never promote clickbank wildly, only 2 sales and from paypal, do you have to wait a long time for their 5 credit cards before they pay you? a dp member complain he waited very long, until all cash in cb eat themselves up.
I thought many people ask for refunds after buying cb products.

Clickbank is alright and have some alright stuff, but they also have a lot of bad stuff. With all the networks that I have worked with I would rate Clickbank near the bottom, but that's my personally opinion.

For a long time their reporting SUCKED, but as of lately it got better. They're even introducing stat reporting(analytics) in beta. I think they still have some tracking problems but I make some easy bank on it so I wont complain to much. Since their products suck and they know it, some products have a high refund rate.. they give refunds no questions asked for up to 60days from the sale.

The only two points that matter --

1) Does the cheque come on time? Yes

2) Does it bounce? No

Lots of crap is marketed on ClickBank but so are lots of decent products. But more important, crap or not, lots of products that people buy. If I could make six figures a year selling Chryslers part time from home, I'd do that. I don't care that Chryslers are generally ugly ass pieces of shit.

Yep, Clickbank has some good products, but more importantly people actually buy them if you promote them properly so who cares if its crap, you're still getting paid and people are really into buying hope and hype and that is what is really being sold on Clickbank.

Amen to that!

Excuse me..! ;-)
I am also so called Merchant there - and No, my package is absolutely Not in the Internet Marketing Field at all, (it's a hobby) and I think I Overdeliver (= 18 Products, incl. books, videos, games etc...) for not even 35 bucks and yet I still get those unscrupulous ‘customers’ who supposedly 'buy' your package only to request refund 10 minutes later?!
Or with absolutely lame or even false claims??!

And those a...s at CB give them refund automatically and even got 'me' on their "black list" when I dared to Complain?!:mad:

It wasn't like this before but since about last year when most likely even all these littlest shits finally got online and discovered that they can have their cake and eat it too, it's becoming worse and worse.

I used to have refund rate like 0,5 - 1 % max, with only 1/3 of the 'extra bonuses' I have today, and suddenly it jumped to 13%...?! With More Value??

Gimme a break! CB SUCKS!

If anybody starts Any decent site in this area like Jon mentions I'll be Your first customer!

On the other hand it Does temp me to get even and wrote some IM crap and sell it to those Bastards for Big $$$!

Not sure about #3 always holding true. The Rich Jerk declared bankruptcy recently because he spent too much on his radio campaign. But the real question is whether Clickbank's trash deposits are a result of the snake-oily "gurus" or the fact that we're a nation of dumbasses. The golden rule of creating bestselling crapbooks is to make a claim so over-the-top that it seems too ridiculous to be believed by anyone. Claims like "Get 50 million visitors in 2 minutes." That seems to sell the best. My all-time favorite book there is the $7 Secret, the ebook about putting your signature link at the end of a post to get visitors. (And it doesn't even mention anything about targeted anchor text. A book truly written by another Gandhi)
