Anyone received a UDRP for a domain that you own? What does it look like?

How did you respond? How long did the process take?

Well, if you don't at least respond to the UDRP, you'll likely lose the domain name. You just
respond and dispute the complaining party's arguments against you, and there's no money
penalties involved.

Granted, it's the devil in the details that's tough unless you get a lawyer or so who handles
these things for a living. These disputes typically take 60 days to finish.

If you already received a notice saying your domain name is under a UDRP dispute, you'd
best ask a lawyer to see if it's worth fighting against. Good luck.

My question is for someone who has received and for their personal experience. Your response shows that you don't know all that much about them as you would have mentioned that you also run the risk of a civil case for legal fees and damages once th UDRP is completed.

I'm interested in talking to someone who has had the experience not just read about it.

as you would have mentioned that you also run the risk of a civil case for legal fees and damages once th UDRP is completed.

Well, no one asked if that risk can occur even after a UDRP is finished. I'd simply
answered what was exactly asked.

While I don't have as much direct experience as those who went through it first
hand, I passionately read and digest this, and have had the good fortune to talk
to lawyers with real-world experience in these things. I understand you want to
learn from those who really went through this, and I can maybe refer you to few
of them if you're interested.

But now that you mentioned it, lawyers have told me (I know, hearsay and all)
it's very rare for a complaining party to still pursue a lawsuit for damages even if
they win a UDRP. They'd sue if they lost the UDRP.

If the one disputing your registration has a possibly frivolous case, heck, you
can actually pursue them for possible reverse domain hijacking. If, anyway.

I'm going for keeping the domain. If anyone needs a reference to a UDRP lawyer who's rates are great just PM me.

Dont go down arbitration if it ever happens. Go directly to court if you are keen on holding the license.
