Anyone Bringing Wives To ASW - Lets Put Them Together

Hey all,

Although most are probably not, I'm sure there are a handful of people bringing their wives to affiliate summit. I'm taking mine down a few days before to show her a good time but obviously cant chill much with her the days of affiliate summit.

I was wondering if anyone else is bringing wives and if so, maybe we can put them together and have them chill (go to dinner, see a show, whatever). This way, they stay occupied, aren't alone and stay out of trouble.

It's not the end of the world, but as a guy who has taken his wife to conferences before, I will say it's a bad idea if she isn't independent. If she says she wants to hit the tourist sites during the day, bring her. If she says she wants to stay in the room, red alert man, after day 1, she'll be laying on the guilt trips! I think this is one of those conferences where most of the networking comes at the evening/night events. Just my take.

What not to bring

Wife/Husband/Kids/Girlfriend/Boyfriends are a bad idea.
This is not a couple’s vacation, especially if one spouse isn’t an AM and doesn’t care about the conference. Once it starts, the conference does not end until the actual night of the last day. Parties, dinners, events, etc., all keep a person busy and that leaves no time extra for the spouse. Leave them at home.

Agreed. When I brought my ex to Miami for ASE after day 1 it was a fucking killer situation. But you don't spend any time with meee etc.

May be easier in Vegas though.
 
My wife is cool, she won't bug me for the ASW days. Just wondering if anyone else is bringing and if we can match them up.
 
I actually thought about bringing my wife. We were going to turn it into a mini vacation. In the end, we decided that it wasn't the best idea. I'm going on my own and we're planning a vacation for the two of us in April/May.
 
I'm getting to vegas early (b'day is the 9th) so I'll have her in town 9-11th and then back she goes that sunday. Then free to be me :)
 
I took my wife to ASW last year and while I went to a party she went to see the Chippendales.

She's coming with me again this year, she is our Operations and Finance person after all, and she wants to make sure I get receipts for every expenditure.......
