Anyone else hate Summer?

Moved to San Diego - Never colder than 64, never hotter than 83 :)

Yea, except for last week, which had two days with highs in the 60's and fucking cloudy. Hello sweatshirt and jeans. Ugh.

Thank god I am back home with 90 degree weather and getting burnt like a red lobster.

I don't mind the summer but I hate the fucking tourists. 9 months out of the year it's nice and quiet, the people are polite, there's very little traffic and the highway tolls are low. Right now it's full of loud-mouth idiots, there's tons of traffic and the highway tolls have more than doubled. I need to head north when these dipshits come south*.

*It's really not that bad, I just like to complain. It's party central around here right now. Too bad I'm squirrelled away in my cave slaving over these screens.

I don't mind the summer, just took my dad to Hooters yesterday for lunch and all we did was oogle over beer and wings.

Kind of looks like Ft. Lauderdale Beach....amirite????

Btw I don't hate summer as much as I hate michigan winters. Least during the summer if its hot as fuck, I can get indoors, or roll down a window, or wear something lighter (can't exactly go shirt-less, someone might think I'm some bearded woman or something). Or most stores are AC too.

But in the winter, its cold, its wet, I gota wear crapload more, I gota shovel, I gota deal with god knows how many fucking idiots on the road thinking their new SUV can drive on ANYTHING at high speeds when they didn't even change out the default tires, as well as trying not to track any shit into the house, or get my shoes all soaked or, or take 45 minutes getting ready for that "quick trip" to the store, or moving the truck from one side of the street to the other side of the street every single day a plow needs to come by, or have to figure where one of my kids disappeared in the back yard.

There's a lot of things you can do about summer quickly. I'd much rather get caught in a summer thunderstorm than a winter blizzard (had to hike thru one once in the wood, ain't fun when it covered a creek you weren't aware of)

But least in some parts they're pretty quick about plowing.

thats a road btw, and the camera became quickly covered in half an inch of ice soon as we got to the cabin from the condensation, was bout -10F that february afternoon, dropped to around -20-25 later that evening.

I absolutely HATE summer. I miss Washington a lot. It never really got hot, in fact most summers it never got over 65 degrees. Now I'm in Minnesota. -40 degrees doesn't bother me a bit, but the summers......fuck my life! When I step outside I can't even breathe. Thank god I can afford to have the air conditioning on 60 all the time. The electric bill is about $400 a month, but it's well worth it. Today it got to 97 degrees outside and it stayed a nice moderate 60 inside.

Where in MN was is 97 degrees today? It didn't even hit 90 in the Twin Cities area. 96 degrees is the historical record for my zip code on this date.

Hiked for a good 6 hours today, 200 or so pictures, perfect blue sky, perfect weather.

The only thing I hate about Summer is I can't get enough of it.

I moved up to Northern Cali in Feb from Los Angeles.. And I thought it got hot in LA.. FUUUUUUCK!

I'd be curious to know too, right now its 77F here in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a tad further southeast of you guys. At most this week it was like 86F, though forecast says it'll be 88F on wensday. I think the hottest its ever been in michigan was 112F , back in 1936, (couple years earlier than that it was -51F, guess wasn't the great depression just financially lol). Though we've had a few days in the last few years that it got up over 100F. So someone saying it was up over 95F in minnesota wouldn't surprise me much, just usually its close to being that hot here too if that happens.

The only reason why I hate summer is because my niche experiences a massive slow down during July and August.

Nobody likes to study when its warm out :(

I hate the summer, I enjoy being cold (weird right?). Luckily the Wisconsin warm weather is like 2-3 months at most.

As I say, you can dress for the cold, but you can't dress for the heat.

I fucking can't wait for it to get below 40 degrees.

As for Minnesota, it's 81 degrees right now and it's around 11:00pm. As for the 97, I got that from my own thermometer. It might have been off a bit. There was like no breeze today. It was horrible. I'm about 20 minutes north of the cities so maybe it was different in the cities today. I wouldn't know. I didn't visit the cities today.
