Anyone ever made an adult model membership site?

Been asked to look into making one of these but have no idea about the best platform. I'm familiar with Wordpress and have found membership plugins like magicmembers, s2member and wishlistproducts. Then there seem to be some all in one solutions/cms for adult sites too, but prices look high for the good ones.

Anyone created a model site and got some advice on what to use? Live cam is not necessary as the model has a solution to this (would be nice to have the option though). The site would be showing videos and photos to members.

Also any recommendations on hosting as my usual doesn't allow adult content?

You don't provide enough details.

- Membership payment schedule? Per-month for unlimited access, or credits system, or? Multiple levels?

- Shady rebills?

- Affiliate program? If so, comp plan, payout schedule / method, admin shave needed?

- Ad space management?

- And on, and on, and on.
 
I've made a porn aggregator site. Not really the same thing. I would guess what you are doing is more involved as you need actual content (and thus need to purchase) hosted by yourself and then bill your users. Whole nother ballgame.
 
It's fundamentally a database + web frontend, just like lots of other projects, there's 1001 ways you could make it.
 
Sorry for being vague. It is for a model who wants to show her pics and videos to members.
No ads, no aggregating stuff. Simply showing her content for a monthly fee. She also has a live cam thing but that sounds like a whole new ballgame so I was going to say that needs to stay the same (currently links to an offsite cam thing).
I guess having the option to allow affiliates would be useful too.
 
Ohhh, so a simple solo site. Well, just throw up a Wordpress site for her, and I'm sure she'll be all amazed and happy. I'm assuming she doesn't have any money, so I hope you accept BJs as payment.
 
You can use Word Press with a membership plug in. Their is a CMS or 2 out there but you are looking at around a grand for stock version but it would give you social options. Tell her if she does fetish Clips4sale would be an option. No fetish Clips.com would be best. Not sure I can post this but GFY would be a good source of information if you are willing to dig a bit. That forum make this forum look like a no troll zone
 
When it comes to adult membership sites (much like everything else) it's a question of what sacrifices you want to make.
You already mentioned price, there are other factors such as ease of use, marketing functionality etc that come into play and matter more as you scale.

I've had 3 different custom adult WP solutions built, and tried most of the others that are adult friendly.
So far, for adult paysites I have found WP to be more hassle than it's worth.

Unless your model already has a huge following - it's probably best to get it live, earning, and you started on learning whats working for you and what's not.
From there you can judge whether it's worth going with a more expensive and/or custom solution.

modelcentro.com is a hosted solution targeted specifically for individual model sites that has the option to include livecam.
They operate on revshare so you can minimize your upfront.
