Anyone ever NOT been paid by Copeac?

Are we talking about 1 (one) charge back here?

no lol, more but that kinda keeps me from pushing more traffic to these guys.

EDIT: Also for the record, even if it were 1 chargeback, I don't think they have any leg for it because I did everything in my power to make sure I was sending them exactly what they wanted. I even told them my traffic source and I even showed them my lander....

Anyone got hit with a chargeback on their "*EXCLUSIVE* Advanced Cleanse" offer?

I got randomly hit with a chargeback saying the leads didn't back out due to "poor credit cards."

Are you kidding me? All my leads were legit from Pulse360 and I can prove it 110%. Like they expect me to magically know which credit cards will back out for them and which card won't. I did all that I could to make sure only legit traffic is sent to the offer...isn't it the merchant's and network's fault, because they should be denying any cards that don't seem legit?

it's funny how these networks just randomly decide to "charge back" on affiliates...like they expect us to chargeback on pulse360, right?

Really fucking tired of "networks" these days.. :disgust: :angryfire:

The advertiser is returning leads that come back as a pick up card code, which usually means its stolen or will result in a chargeback. We have argued with this advertiser for weeks and have been absorbing the scrub on our end, but with the competition on payouts on these offers our margins dont allow for us to absorb the hit either. We have asked the advertiser to lower their payouts so they can absorb the hit but they feel that if they lower payout they wont see volume. We informed them that scrubbing will hurt volume. We tried for a very long time not to pass this on but the advertiser wont adjust their thinking on this issue.

I am sorry youre upset over this, we conveyed this to the advertiser already that pulse and other media outlets are good and the pick up card codes are outside pubs control but they continue to send scrub files.

EDIT: Supposedly the advertiser might not enforce this scrub, if they dont anyone who was scrubbed will have those leads added back. Maybe they saw this thread, who knows.

thanks for this post. this shit sucks - reminds me of german networks with their pseudo lead systems. don't fucking call it pay per lead if it's actually fixed price per sale. /rant

Surely they realise that if they keep throwing these 'chargebacks' to you, that you'll eventually pass them on making people's ROIs possibily go into the red with the already lower payout or you'll reduce your payouts further to swallow them leading to campaigns not profiting again. Either way it hits the affiliate's pocket.

What ever they do, they're hurting themselves in the end.

Regardless of what the advertiser does and regardless of what you end up doing, I seriously don't think I'm at fault here and hence, I shouldn't face it's consequences no matter what the amount may be in question - plain and simple.

If anything, it was the advertiser's fault for not choosing a lower payout and your fault of not notifying pubs about the potential for scrubs. Just coz the advertiser doesn't have balls to lower the payout makes it OK to chargeback on affiliates?

Bottom line is - if you don't feel it's worth working with this advertiser, why do you still work with them, and hurt publishers in the process? I didn't do much volume on this but I feel sorry for those that did and will now (likely) get charged back. Plus, I lost money promoting this campaign anyways and this will just mean a bigger loss for me....

If you can't take the risk, don't put the offers on your network. Krongel, you're always pretty reasonable... how can you feel correct in any of these situations? pretty weird to see.

Says this for the extra terms:

To view creative for the *EXCLUSIVE* Advanced Cleanse campaign you must agree to the following terms. Please be advised that if these terms are violated, you may be subject to an extraction of all sales/leads and possible termination.

Celebrity Endorsements are only approved images (advertiser will provide) can be used in pages/creatives per endorsement contracts. Any pages or creatives must be approved by advertiser prior to implementation. Affiliates will be scrubbed for any conversions that have evidence of stolen credit cards, duplicate sales and fraudulent activities. This will result in the loss of payment for those leads/sales.

However, I do agree it's bullshit. But right now, there aren't many alternatives to Opes' BS.

Even if the advertiser is being a cunt and insisting on a high payout, the affiliate network can enforce a lower payout and buffer the scrub themselves.

Man up, take the hit (i.e. less marketers promoting the offer because of lower payout), and be honest and transparent about the issue. Add a note to the offer explaining why the payout is lower than expected. High volume affiliate marketers are gonna be paying attention to the EPC, and factoring in the scrub too!

Doing it that way will minimize backlash on WF.

We should elect you governor... you could go around to all the prisons and tell everyone to stop killing and robbing each other.
