anyone good at magento customization?



If you still want to get it done, I can ask a friend.. He maybe willing to take a dig at what you want if it is challenging ... As long as you have defined what you want..
 
I prefer hosted when possible. Less hassle, net cost is about the same in the end. Shopify as pretty sweet to that end.

Magento is a gigantic piece of shit, it's the Windows 98 SE2 of the ecommerce world.
