I'm wanting to integrate some CJ datafeeds into a wordpress site but I've never messed with it before. Any tips or resources for getting this up and running? I've set up the DataFeed services for the advertiser I want to use in CJ, I'm just trying to figure out the best way to get these feeds imported into a WP site. Any help is appreciated.

I used them with a script that I should really customize, it has been off the market for awhile now.

I need to clean up this website and SEO it a little bit, it gets traffic for some products just with the little bit of work that I did. I'm not sure how it would fit into WordPress... each product as a post? Valentines Day Shopper

I'll answer whatever questions I can about the CJ Datafeeds.

This is why people pay services like goldencan, popshops and linkvig a fee or % of commissions to handle feed management for them. The data is messy, the infrastructure is unreliable, and the support is dismal.

Datafeedr integrates with CJ.

Downside is that you have to pay a monthly fee to use Datafeedr, but it makes it really easy to integrate with merchants from different networks (CJ, Google, Linkshare, Shareasale, and more)

Supported Affiliate Networks & Merchants • Datafeedr

And if they don't support the merchant at this time you can make a request and they are usually pretty quick about adding support for the merchant you want.

EDIT: forgot to add that it's a wordpress plugin. not a standalone solution.

^^ Thanks for that. I think I ran across that plugin a while back when I was looking for something else. I may look into it.

SellFire offers data feed services

Hi Efeezy,

My company, SellFire.com, makes creating a storefront out of Data Feeds easy. You create the store on our site and then just add a line of JavaScript to your word press blog. We also offer a dynamic store capability based on a pre-defined search. You can try it out for free to see if it works for you.

If you decide to go the manual route, a couple bits of advice on working with CJ feeds.

First, I disagree with plepco. I think CJ's data feed system is among the best in the industry. They have lots of fields, lots of delivery options, and you can customize the format. So, IMHO, working with data feeds on the CJ network is as easy as it is on any network (which is to say not very easy at all).

If I had one problem with CJ data feeds, it is the URL for each product points to a random CJ link domain (like jdoqcky.com). With each version of the feed the domain chosen for a given product can change. That makes it somewhat tricky to detect what products are new/removed with each feed version.

Best of luck!

Thanks,
Jason
